asheshouse, Ive got a bit of a weird problem with these ships- Im running them in UP3, and on the side of the hull where the white numbers should appear, I just have a white square. Any ideas as how to fix this?

I was not involved in putting together the UP3 Pack so I'm not sure what has caused this.
The ship numbers are on a separate tga which uses 32bit textures (alpha cut) to overlay the number outline on the hull. If this was converted to an indexed tga that would have corrupted the alpha channel in the text.

You could try inserting the original tga file into your UP3 setup as a "mod"

I noticed an error in SAS modact 5.3 / 4.12, the shadow is blinking both in FMB and ingame:

I'd be ok with removing this shadow, so how do I do that as a quick fix?

Just noticed this post. It's caused by an error in applying materials in the 3d stage.
The shadow meshes must have only a single material applied before exporting the meshes.
I will dig out the old files and see if I can fix it.

Thanks mate, I'd really appreciate if you could fix this because I like these RN destroyers a lot and I recently realized that they're missing from my game. I've been at this for a while but I still find great mods which I somehow overlooked. :)
If there's anything I can help dont hesitate to ask, I'm here everyday...SAS is like my second home.

Please test this.
Replace the Hull1.msh with this new file.
If ok then the Shadow parts of Hull1_dmg.msh will need to be edited similarly.

Seems ok on Cossack but Nubian still has issues.
Not tested the other two yet.
Maybe copy all the Cossack meshes to Nubian folder and check again.

Final fix.

Use the two new files to fix Cossack.

Then copy all msh files and hier.him from Cossack into the other three.
Not sure if my copy of Cossack maybe the version that went into HSFX?

If you still have problems I will copy the lot to you.

Apologies to Ashe and Vp for butting in on this topic.

I have just loaded these to a MA5.30 and C.U.P. install and also got the blinking shadow effect. Applied your fix (tested on Cossack only) and now get a solid shadow from the bow to about 1/3rd down to the bridge area. The other 2/3rds to the stern is still flickering.

I need to repost all of the msh files and hier.him.
Copy these into each of the Tribal Class folders to fix this.
You can test it. Files will be posted in 5min.
