A good freeware recorder program?

Hi :)

Is there any good recorder program? I really want to (try :P) make IL-2 videos/movies, but I havn't got a good recorder program. I know, Fraps is good, but I hasn't got money for a Fraps (I don't really want to buy, because if I can't make movies, then it's just waste of money ^^"). I tried the Gamecam, and the Hypercam, but not works for me. (The Hypercam don't want to start, and the Gamecam makes bad quality videos, and the aircraft is flashing in the video o.O)

The free version of Fraps is still good for 30 second clips. If you're inventive with your editing, it's not too bad of a limitation.

Here is one you might try, it came up on the Over Flanders Fields forum.  Has all sorts of goodies, can even make 3D stills.
