Ok...

It's important to get this PC to "Beep" at boot up because if there is something wrong the BIOS will use several beeps like morse code which, depending on the make, will tell you where the problem lies.

Try plugging in a set of speakers / headphones - this motherboard has onboard audio but (unless you have an M4A87TD EVO variant) but it doesn't have onboard video, it only says that it supports "ATI CrossfireX Technology". Your graphics card should work when plugged into the Blue 16x PCI slot on the board.

Speakers / headphones plug into the green (No. 7) socket on the back I/O panel.

BTW what's the make / model of your video card?

:)

Will try that in a bit. But also, i just opened up my computer and the thing i plugged into where the speaker should go had, from left to right, +vcc, -D, +D, and then ground. Is this the front panel usb? If so, where should it go?

okok;
so the mobo wont start, you have no sound, no beeps, no nothing.

What we re gonna do, is see if that thing is dead or not. to do that, we are going to remove avarything from the Motherboard

remove 110 or 220 volt cable from the PC
remove static electricity by grabbing a Radiator piece of metal thing.

disconnect SATA disk,
SATA DVDplayer,
USB ports
sound,
remove RAM
and the CPU Fan,
remove CPU
... everything!
(anythig left on a faulty motherboard could take damage)

even remove the Mobo from the PC. careful.
if you remove it from the PC, also take the Power suply out. again, careful.

Lets put the Mobo on the Plastic bag it came with (probably a sturdy one) and put the bag on a table. Or on its Cardboard Box, something that does not guide electricity.

what you will need to connect is the power cable from the Power supply (20+4 or 24pin) to the Motherboard.
done?

connect the power cable from the wall to the PSU and start up.

-Does the Motherboard beep? Does it have any kind of light coming on?
Yes: hope. lets do it.

No: you might very well have fried the thing.

...and no- forget everything else. sound, usb or whatnot check if the mobo fires up first, dont mess around with it too much - these things are kind of fragile, physically and chemically too.

My mobo turns on fine, the green light for standby power turns on when i switch the psu on, the cpu fan starts up, the gpu fan starts up, so it mightve been a small part im missing? Also, what was i supposed to accomplish with my ipod earbuds? I didnt hear anything when i pligged them in and turn the computer on

nice!

lemme think some more.

put the Mobo in the box and try again if necessary.

then insert CPU and its Radiator and its Fan.
test again.

and dont touch the USBs just yet!

test your ipod on your second PC, the one you are writing on.
