what do you mean by "'everything else"?
did you assemble the entire computer? case+psu+disk+D§VDrom+memory+... and everything works?disks turn? broken monitor?

running out of ideas here,  tend do send you to a professional too.
let them do it and  ask to look over their shgoulder?
ask a tech, a pro, to help you?

Are you 100% certain that you've attached the system speaker to the right set of pins as illustrated here?

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,12865.msg138297.html#msg138297

Getting a picture on your hdtv might involve adjusting the screen resolution on your video card (more problems)

How about borrowing a monitor instead? Any old VGA / CRT monitor will do...

Not one that's been out in the snow tho  ;)

the cpu i have is an AMD Phenom x4 9650 @ 2.3GHz, the one i want is an AMD Phenom II x4 965 @3.4GHz

EDIT: and yes, i used an AMD cpu for an AMD socket motherboard, it was unfortunately an AM2+ socket cpu into an AM3 socket mobo, and it was not on the list of supported cpu's anyways

...and if you do not have a good CPU for the mobo, the mobo IS - and WILL BE - a piece of worthless scheisse that will never do anything, only beep, keep beeping and so forth.

so, back to basics:
do not mess with your hardware untill you have all the right components that you need to build a PC.
Wait, leave your stuff untouched, and take to your tools when the setup is complete.

How did you order a wrong CPU in the first place??? Just buy a new one, put it in, apply thermal paste, put cooler on, and try to boot.

And for god's sake, send the computer parts to a pro to build it for you. Every step you make makes more things get fvcked up.

@GeneralPsycho: well, sir, i did not order a cpu, i used the one that came with my computer and it was not compatible with my motherboard. do not get pissy with me, as it will get u no where. the cpu im looking at is compatible with my motherboard, but i can't get it yet due to unforeseen personal circumstances, and i will get that new cpu asap, and hopefully all will be fine. the reason im not sending it to a pro is because im spending enough money as it is upgrading my computer, i know what im doing, i just didnt look into compatibility issues as much as i should have. ive realized this mistake. but im just a kid, no older than 14, and i have to learn from my mistakes so i dont make them again, thats really what childhood is about. and once i get this cpu, all should be well.

@HundertzehnGustav: still working on getting the cpu, by the looks of it, it will be about 3 weeks still :(
