@ Gemini you must have missed this in the Read me file -"J7W1 is also needed for the class file of Type5 cannon. If you don't want to use J7, copy J4M1/Type5/20E907EA414F9B1E file to J4M1 folder."

   Sorry about that but I should have been more precise about this.

 I also have the J7W1 installed but to get this aircraft to work I still had to copy the J4M1/Type5/20E907EA414F9B1E file to my J4M1 folder.

I installed the J4M1, J7W1 & the Ki-98 and though the cockpit shows on the J7W1 the J4M1 and Ki-98 just show nothing no dials or other details.

I've added a log for the J4M1 and it seems the game can't find a load of hiermesh files

I checked the folders and they all contain 3do/cockpits etc

The game is 4.12.2 Modact 5.30 with Jetwar and Engine Mod v2.7

Any ideas what might be wrong?

damawo has not modelized those cockpit from the first.

J4M1 was only under paper plans, no real built.
Ki-98 was started its prototype building, but not finished and burned in facing Russia's invation with its documents.
So, almost no documents were remained about their cockpits, very hard to modelize them.

It might a seem daft question but is it possible to copy a cockpit folder from say the J7W1 and transplant it to the other two models?

The cockpit folder from the J4M2-A does indeed work in the J4M1.
