Hi!

Just like to inform you about my first publically uploaded skinworks (made a Me323 gigant generic for flatspinman's Tunisia '43 forthcoming campaign so far). There is generally a lack in  desert skins (and of the SAAF units) and so i decided to start with such. Period is operation crusader (nov 1941 - january 1942) and summer 1942, each pack containing 12 fully marked, heavy weathered, desert sandscrubed hurricanes. These skins are for the (stock game) MkI and MkIIb but maybe there are useful for anyone here.

Of course any comments or reviews are very welcome, even a bad one is better than no feedback at all!

Much more people are downloading them than giving any feedback (compare the time it needs writing a comment with that of making these skinpacks). But that seems a thing most usual nowadays...

A transport unit series of skinpacks  will be my next works (need a break from all these dry desert sands   ), did already a lot of research the last months. There are indeed no skinpacks of Ju52 or Me323 units.
Amongst these will be a fairly historical skinpack of all 14 gigants  shot down on april 22nd of 1943 near Cape Bone/Farina off tunesian shore.

I normally down a cool Spaten jump in my G-2 and proceed to shoot the SAAF down,
Now I'm gonna fly the MkII and look for the Hun in the sun!

They look good in and out of the cockpit!

I read the entire read me file accompanying the download from M4T.

I have the books History of JG27 Africa (Ring)
Squadrons of the SAAF and their Aircraft(Mclean) too - your historical resasearch makes them all the better.

When back in my G-2, I'll be looking for Cpt Le Mesurier's special fuselage roundel
again thanks for the attention to both artistic and historical detail.

thank you very much for your reply. Yes i guess not much downloaders are reading all this stuff.
I'm always researching my works as well as i can and in case of these hurricanes it was quite difficult to obtain
well informations - there aren't much well photographs and those existing are spread over countless sources.
The few special books dealing with the 1st SAAF are long out of print and not affordable (collector's prices).

That's why you will find my skins always in the 'semihistorical' category, we very rarely get well photos
from all aircraft sides or in colour, and so there's always an amount of speculation how the aircraft looked completely.
I think this refers to the very most birds skinned so far.

Whether instead of it is known to whom and you where it is possible to take skins on other South African divisions? Especially on those which on Tomahavkah were at war.
