If you have installed Ultr@Pack or HSFX, you may enable "Carrier Take-Off MOD" in JSGME.
Then you can start D3A or B5N On Ryujo well.

Apparently for 4.12.2 this is not enough. Installed 4.12.2+SAS Modact 5.03+ CTO 1.01+ IJNRyujoCVLBETA120+ JCats A6M. The result is the same.
Thanks for answers. I realized that Ryujo is a very specific ship in IL-2. It’s sadly that i can’t fully use it in campaigns. For example, in the Aleutians.

I'm getting 70% CTD with 4.13.4m. What's the right model/class combo?
Or it simply isn't compatible with 4.13.4m?

OK managed to get it working by using 4.09 class files. But now I'm getting these "gaps" in the hull.

it's very strange that this boat just doesn't work in Hsfx 7.0.3 4.12.2, I remember that I had it back then in ultrapack 2 0 1 in 4.10 and great ... I think it's included in Bat

so everything was according to paragraph 126a works but in FMB the ship works but it is not possible for the planes from Rjujo to crash and when I start the castle game the planes appear in the sea and all the ships disappear from the map so these ships are still a problem and files 4 09 also nothing is shown anymore at all and the game works

Hi everyone

The work of Flyer138 has identified that the furthest forward spawn point for planes on a carrier deck is tweakable through a mesh file.

I would love to fill carrier decks from the bridge to stern with aircraft. Look at Damawo's Hiryu and Taiho to see that it is possible.

Therefore can anyone please point me in the right direction to tweak the default furthest forward takeoff point as this would bring so much realism and personal satisfaction to me if Akagi, Shokaku and others could have a more lively flight deck (up to 30 aircraft).

Of course this tweak will be personal to my game version but if successful I would be more than happy to share the tweaked file.

I might be able to help you, I just managed to get a flight of 18 on Zuiho (6 b5n and 12 a6m), and 15 on Ryujo(6 b5n and 9 a6m). any more than that on Ryujo results in last plane launching blowing up on an invisible obstacle around aft elevator. You need to open Hull3.msh with notepad++, in there look for [HookLock].

Ignore the first line, the next 6 are the ones you need to edit and only the 10th and 11th numbers. the originals are 47.2827 -10

change to

As far as i can tell the top and bottom 10th number set the length of the takeoff area and I think the top and bottom 2 of the 11th are the width. I bumbled through it by trial and error for the last week, gotta love ocd.
Hopefully I didn't make that too confusing, but if you need help just let me know.

Your work is truly impressive. I have tried out your code and found that 9x A6M and 3x B5N can now fit on the deck of Ryujo. I know this is slightly less than you achieved but I am more than satisfied. It is probably because I have the SAS CTO mod as I use the VP modpack.






Yes, the zeros are close to the edge but this is absolutely fine.

Would you mind sharing your code for Zuiho?

Secondly take a look at this:




Shokaku (top), Taiho (middle), and Akagi (bottom).

I set 6x A6M and 18x B5N to take off from each ship. Taiho was the only ship capable of spawning them all on the deck.

Taiho (Damawo mod) has an excellent deck arrangement and is a joy to have in my game. Now I would like Akagi and Shokaku to be able to handle the same number of aircraft.

As you can see their decks are both long and wide enough to handle them all but the spawn parameters are off. Shokaku in particular is terrible with just two zeros abreast! She has so much more potential.

Anyway, rant over. I suggest that we both work towards improving deck spawn codes.
