Perhaps my longest project. The speed of work was influenced by both a lot of real-life circumstances and interesting nuances of the model itself. Take, for example, changing the geometry of copied/attached parts. Has anyone encountered this? In addition, I never found any drawings of Ryujo.
I present to you the beta version of the aircraft carrier Ryujo. The condition of the ship in August 1942. The model was ported from the game War Thunder and modified to IL-2 standards. Correct dimensions and shape of the hull and flight deck. Historical composition and location of anti-aircraft artillery. The flight deck, as in reality, is narrow and short. According to the recollections of contemporaries, only six aircraft were freely accommodated on the deck of Ryudze. I bet from eight to fourteen, depending on the size of the aircraft.. Not historical, but more interesting. Always take off fighters or bombers with incomplete combat load or fuel reserves first. A hull with low stability and weak armor, provide it with a serious escort or your mission will end sooner than you think.

It works stably in version 4.12.2m SAS Mod 5.30. The installation is normal, the contents of the archive are placed in the SAS folder. We write lines in ini files. I will respectfully listen to all comments.

 - tested on 4.12.2m, BAT 4.2 WAW

Planes tend to lean to the right when seen from the front.

In the case of B5N2, which can be aligned by three units, it is off deck.

The appearance of planes tilting to the right on deck is a phenomenon seen by most Japanese carriers.

If it's an inevitable part, I'll use her in TGA mainly.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful carrier.

- tested on 4.12.2m, BAT 4.2 TGA

Full on both sides of the deck. If I don't use chock-crew mod, I think I'll have a bit of space.

So as a personal opinion, this carrier seems better suited to TGA.

Thank you.

Ryujo's magnificent posture...

Good afternoon, thank you for your nice feedback. Unfortunately, I do not know the algorithm for positioning aircraft on aircraft carriers in the Il-2.  Indeed, the planes are grouped somewhat away from the center line, and meanwhile, the _Park hooks are located symmetrically from the X-axis. And I can’t explain the position of the B5N2 planes outside the deck at all. In my game, planes are never located outside the deck; this is basically impossible since the collision of the flight deck does not extend beyond its boundaries. Colleagues, has anyone else experienced a similar phenomenon? Best regards TV. Google translation

Last Report :

I tried deploying 8 Zero A6M5s in the front row and 6 B5N2s in the back row.

The chock-crews look a little dangerous, but the overall appearance looks satisfying.

I think the difference in the deck layout for the planes is probably due to my complicated mods state.

So please don't mind.

Thank you again.
