Last Report 2....really last report.

Deploying many planes on the deck was never a good thing.

Planes(AI) in the back row had difficulty taking off regardless of plane type (sliding obliquely and falling into the sea or exploding upon hitting objects).

Therefore, the proper number of operational planes on the deck seems to be about six units.

Thank you.

- nice landing

- preparations for anti-aircraft battle

- the return of the night

I am very grateful to everyone for appreciating my work. It is very important for me to know all the possible problems of the model in order to avoid them in the future. As for planes falling from the deck of an aircraft carrier. I've encountered this problem. Experiencedly, through trial and error, I managed to correct this error. - I have. In my IL-2, planes are located only on the flight deck and do not fall overboard. However, if this problem occurs frequently, tell me and I will reduce the distance between the _Park hooks. Best regards TV. Google translation.

And this is how Mitsubishi B2M1, B2M2 and Yokosuka B3Y1 behave. They even fall from Akagi's deck.

Hello Friends,

Regarding the plane parking problem, the following adjustments worked for me:

In your hull2.msh, locate these lines under the heading [HookLoc]:

1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -13 -16 14.944
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -44 -15 14.944
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -77 -13 14.944
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -77 13 14.944
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -44 15 14.944
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -13 16 14.944

and replace them with:

1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -13 -14 14.944
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -44 -14 14.944
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -77 -13 14.944
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -77 13 14.944
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -44 14 14.944
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -13 14 14.944

And this is what I get with 4 Zeroes and 8 Kates:

Note the Kate landing gears are within the deck margin now, although they still look close to the edge.
Well, this is as far as I can push it.

This is with 12 Kates, the result is more satisfying:

Here's another view of the 12 Kate arrangement:

Although they still gather to the port side, the landing gears all stay on deck.

Here's 8 Kate + 4 Val combo:

And finally, 4 Kate + 4 Val + 4 Zero combo:

Oddly satisfying to watch them takeoff, isn't it?  8)

Let me know if the adjustments work for you. FYI I tested with BAT 3.6.

Thanks to warduke on Reply #153 of this topic for the inspiration.
And BIG THANKS to tvister for this mod. You filled a BIG gap for the IJN  ]salut[

My concern was that when three B5N2s are placed in the front row, one of them is off the deck.

The new Hull2.msh value seems to minimize that concern.... ;D

Of course, it is not completely satisfactory.

I wanted the position of B5N2 in the middle to match the carrier's center line, but it was impossible to adjust with my ability.

Anyway, thank you for the new fix (4.12.2m, BAT 4.2 WAW).

And...glibble !!

I have a question.

Looking at your screenshot above, the stack smoke on the right side looks thicker and richer than mine.

Personal fix or is it what it was ??

Because my smoke is so lighter than steam that it feels like the visual effect is very low.

Thank you.

I believe it's just the default smoke effect.
Although I have a ton of mods that I installed on top of BAT 3.6, the only one that changes smoke is Bigship gun smokes by DESPEREAUX, but that should only change the smoke of the guns, not the chimneys.

I've tried all of the smoke, -1smoke, and -2smoke effect in the effect folder of tvister, but I wasn't very satisfied.

Thanks for letting me know.

Good afternoon. The smoke from the steam pipes is all default. There are two Vapor hooks in the front tube and one in the rear tube. Steam wind direction indicator on deck and smoke suppression simulators, this is actually the effect of spent locomotive steam from NEW_TRAIN_MOD_v1.1. The effects -1smoke, and -2smoke are not working and can be removed.

My continuous delusion.... :P

The ships of WAW and TGA look the same.

However, in the TGA, which is a little ahead of the times, the shape of the ship expressed should be slightly different.

The case in point is AKAGI.

I hope to see AKAGI's old-fashioned side in TGA someday !!

Thank you.

- AKAGI in 3 decks

PS : I saw a screenshot (B2M1s on AKAGI) of tvister and thought of this...

I think that if there are no serious comments, the project can be considered closed. Thanks everyone
