A USAAF B-24, don't know which model, but in metal, so late 42' certainly; with blue grey skies, corn fields, brillcreme, hedgerows, oak trees etc, slight hills, 42' - 44' in Linconshire or Anglia?
I'd say odds are 4 to 1

The B-26 pic:
Left B-26 Marauder is 44-68168 B-26G-25-MA from 397th BG, most probably 599th BS 6B-H. Photo is most probably Spring 1945, either Peronne, France or Venlo, Holland.
The B-24 pic:
Most probably a B-24J but no markings visible and noseart isn't readable.
Best regards - Mike

Odd enough I don't have any source for that special image either, but I can tell you that the front lightning (Sqdn. mark 131) belongs to the No.2 US fighter Ace Thomas McGuire (
http://www.acepilots.com/usaaf_mcguire.html
and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_McGuire
), it's one of his "Pudgy" P-38 series, another good sample image can be found here:

after searching for it "P38 131" I just found these two sites:
imaginary lightnings
http://www.kristofmeunier.fr/
and some lego things (including WWII planes (P38/P51/P40) and vehicles)
http://www.mechanizedbrick.com/mb.html
it's not the pic, but it's some fun on your day
