I couldn't find a better one either, just another similar example:

However this image shows some of the "blue nose bastards" of the 352nd FG, unfortunately the markings aren't decryptable so no detailed info about any specific A/C in that image.

Yes I see, the wikipedia image.
Bigger version here:

Interesting enough the Wikipedia filename for this image erroneously refers to a P-39N.
In fact it's a P-39Q-1BE S/N 42-19447 "Saga Boy II" of Lt. Col. Edwin S. Chickering, CO 357th Fighter Group, July 1943 at Santa Rosa Army Air Field, California.
The 357th Fighter Group used P-39s for training purpose only, they debarked at Greenock, Scotland, on 29 November, moved on to their base at RAF Raydon and received their first aircrafts, 15 former Mustang III of RAF Fighter Command, from december 19th to the end of 1943.
On 31 January they moved to their permanent base at RAF Leiston and started their first missions on 11 Februar, being the first P-51 Mustang Group of the Eight Air Force.

Edwin S. "Chick" Chickering, a native of Oil City, Pennsylvania, died Friday, February 14, 2003, in his home in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 90 years.
