well, kaxii, you don't have very long to wait, mate.
indeed, today's banner pic has been put up for a good reason :D

in fact, to be up to date, you could start by editing your avatar tag-line. all you need do is remove the word 'soon' ;)

OMG !! Man, you got any more of those shots? First time I've actually seen them in Spanish post war service, as all the pics you see are of them in the BoB movie and afterwards. I photographed the confederate air force one at thier air shows at Harlengen Tx back in 89 (when it had a gear collapse) and in 90, when I got some great shots. I never got to shoot it in the desert scheme. It was lost in a fatal crash a few yrs ago, but I got to onboard. Magnificent plane. It had been Franco's AF-1.

I think many of us on here would love to see more of your grandfather's service. Any shots of any thing at all. Spanish AF is fascinating, going from Buchon 109s to F-104s. I'm drooling. Very little published on these AC's service in Spain.

My Grandfather's service is not really action packed. Typical ferrys on cargo and bomber planes. But he was the radioman, which I don't think is too interesting?  :-\

Perhaps not so interesting, but, in my view, no less important a job than any other crew member. :)

They say there's no "I" in team, but if you observe closely you'll find it in the A-Hole.

Do you like my picture for the banner? I guess it matches the background color of the forum theme.

She has nice lines.

I read about a lot of aircrew , many of them unlisted and got a spot out of what was needed. Those applied for Pilot and got turned down because of eyesight or age usually got training as navigators, mechanics , wireless operator, bomb aimer and such. If I where in a crew back in the days I would not mind fill any of those places
