It's sad that guys like that were on the opposite side. The ones that survived were very useful in the post war world when NATO was established though. I got the pleasure/honor of attending a symposium in Marrietta Ga. back in 84 where Rall, Galland, Stienhoff, (and one more whose name escapes me at the moment) spoke and it was amazing to hear those guys talk about not only the war, but the post war yrs. They spoke about several of their comrades that didn't make it also. I'm glad I was able to attend. Wish I could find a recording of it someplace, but it was before video was common/affordable.
