There is a download at the very bottom of the main post:

Doolittle_Test_Mission.7z (0.85 kB - downloaded 420 times.)

It's just a test mission (Bombsaways)to help get the feel of taking off from the deck of a carrier. I cent remember if the carrier starts off at speed or is stopped. if it's stopped, let it get up to speed then go ;) :D

If you're talking about a completely different mission, then it would problally be in the mission area of SAS

No joy on getting these B-25's to work in my SAS 5.30.
Il2-1946 version 4.12.2
With all four installed, only get to 20%, then crash.
I remove the two B-25A's then get to 60%, then crash.
Changed the air.ini as I went.
Only aircraft mod I was able to getting working so far was the PBY.

Sad, as I really wanted to recreate the Doolittle raid myself. :'(

Also, this is my first post on this forum. Am a fair noob to IL2-1946. Got it 10 days ago on sale for $3. Figured, why not try it after seeing there are loads of mods....yeah right. Trying to get mods to work is turning into a career.  :o

Working with a modded game can be frustrating yes but for $3.00 you cant go wrong. I'll look into this and see if another mod is needed to get them to work.

Oh, I certainly got my money's worth already! Enjoying the game so far even if only stock. I will look forward to seeing what you come up with on more info. Appreciate it.

 :)

(On a side note. I plan on downloading and installing HSFX 7.0 and the 7.01 patch in a few days after our bandwidth allowance renews in a few days. No idea if these Doolittle raider planes are in that pack. Trying to locate a list of what all is in that HSFX pack so far has not been fruitful.)

So far I'm finding that some other B-25's may be needed. See, some planes are made for the game using parts, classfiles or loadouts from other planes already in the game, either from stock planes or ones that were made by a modder. This can sometimes be a pain for some people because they may not have been around when these were made so you are not aware of what is also needed.
I'll keep looking and when I find out what is needed, I'll let you know. Also, look at your log file when you get a crashand in time you'll be able to find out whats causing a crash to desk top.

In testing I installed these first... https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,37998.0.html and so far have the B-25 A working and will continue to test. Riken also made a B-25 K but I think I need his PBJ's to make it work but will post all my findings here.

Ahhh, that would explain why some of the deeper files had the B-25J in their file name! Thank you. I'll see what I can do with this all a bit later today. Thanks so much for looking into this.

Crashing at 60% on those B25D and J's.
Could be a bad buttons file, (they may not be in my current button file)?

I added the air.info lines as well.

Added the B25 file to my #SAS file, not a "MODS" file. That's how I got the PBY to work was adding it to my #SAS.

Are you using the latest engine mod and buttons?

Are you using the latest engine mod and buttons?

I have not downloaded any sort of "engine" mod. I did download the latest buttons I could find a few days ago when I did the PBY.

Whether it's a correct buttons or not is anyones guess.
Perhaps I need the engine mod? (wherever that might be...)

Thanks again.
