You are using 4.12 SAS ModAct 5.3 correct? If so, here is the latest engine mod and buttons. Always look in the SAS Essentials thread for updates.

Added the engine mod and the 10.5 buttons. Game launched fine.

Then tried the B25D and J's again, crashed again at 60%

Yes, using Modact 5.30, and game is version 4.12.2

At a continuing loss here.

Look in your main game folder and find the " Log " file. Open it with note pad and at the bottom copy anything with ERROR and post it here.

Update: I Did get the B25D and J's to work now. I put the new buttons file in the #SAS/gui/game/buttons folder and deleted old button out of MODS/gui/game/buttons...Doing that enabled the sound to come alive from the sound patch. (Nice)

However the Doolittle raiders (B25A and B's) are crashing at 20%.

I see no Log file, even ran a search. It should be a plain text file open with notepad?

Since I have a much later version IL2 4.12.2, not gonna mess with that. Looks like the log file could grow and grow. Another rabbit to chase which I would rather not right now. Yeah, Could download another thingamabob to keep that in check, but with all the problems so far on just adding a few mods, I rather keep it as simple as I can.
Step by step as I learn the ins and outs of this.

At least I got better sounds, 4 new B25's, just not the ones I was aiming for. I immensely appreciate all the time you spent on trying to help me track down the problem here.

This MAY be my oops moment, not sure.
I never did download the Direct to Drive patch. Doing so now. (I downloaded my IL2-1946 from gog.com)

Will apply that patch and see what happens... :o

D2D did not fix the problem wit the B25A's and B's.

I deleted the B25A's and the B25B, left only the Doolittle Raider and it worked, which is the aircraft I wanted anyway. See Image.

You need the B-25 C.

I thought they were included in the game. I'll have to research it.
