Right guys, no need to be sarcastic please.
1stly you understood me wrong. What I am trying to say is that it is VERY DIFFICULT to spot a good campaign on M4T amongst all of them as there are too many to choose from and the 1s that cought my eye were lacking a bit in the details, immersion, realism. So please tell me if there are some good 1s that I perhaps did not spot or overlooked.
Put it this way... some guys make nice maps for IL2, some guys make amazing maps as they make the most of what is possible with this sim such as the Zapolare map or the Khalkhin Gol map by Mixx or the 352nd CCM. These maps are simply amazing because of the detail that went into them. I am sure the same can be said for mission/ campaigns.
My definition of "truely brilliant" is something that is more enjoyable/ interesting than 95% of all other stuff.
My definition of "small details" is the use of good skins where appropriate, placing objects on the map with care and not randomly populate airfields with static aircraft in no particular order. The author must create small little bits and pieces here and there for a particular mission. This includes good use of anything that is stationary or that is moving. By no means am I saying the entire map should be alive with objects - hell no... just that they need to be used in an interesting, exciting way in appropriate places. Flying a campaign from a bone stock airfield with say 10 randomly placed aircraft on it is very very boring as soon as you start. No sense of immersion/ realism.
Hope you understand me now. I usually adjust, improve any missions I like myself and then fly them. I never have enough time to create an entire campaign. And most importantly I will not know what will happen so each mission is new and exciting as opposed to me creating it and knowing what will happen. This is the reason I would like to find some new campaigns.
I have just downloaded the "679_VMF-213 Hellhawks" Campaign from M4T and already I think this could be something I am looking for judging from the screenshots/ describtion/ amount of research that went into creating it. Hope it's good.
Any other suggestions?
