Hello All

Here's some shots of a new plane/plan I'm working on, my latest 'Mockpit'.
Many hours of design to suit the requirements of a Flight Simulator Cock'Mock'pit.
To date, I plan it'll be a 'one of' (who knows what the future may bring, depends a lot on my finances & demand).

Main construction materials will be a mix of Aluminium (mainframes, longerons & Instrument Panels) & MDF (compressed timbers as side panels aka Skin).

The skin/Theme for this FW-190A-8 Mockpit is not historical but preferencial, meaning a blending of the historical with personal preference thrown in.

Hardware will be from Tarmac Aces and will be a KG13 floor mounted Stick , Suspended Rudder Pedals, Throttle as well as Landing Gear lever.

Construction of the 'Prototype' will comence shortly & updates will be provided.

Hey everyone! ;D
I'm completely new to this, and figured this is a good place to start..
I'm a South African student pilot, started recently.
I'm a surfer, bass guitarist and completely warbird obsessed IL2 addict!

Cool!  Good luck with your pilot's license!  It's great when you get to start driving and get a certain freedom with that but getting a pilot's license has to be an even greater sense of freedom!

Sorry folks - no pic of me here (maybe you should count your blessings... :) )

However, I was amazed to see the array of hardware you all have - Sticks, hand throttles, rudder pedals, several keyboards... awesome, just awesome... I liked the set up neuro had (page 5 or 6) especially...

As I tend to fly with simple engine management, I dont need too many controls, and in actual fact, I play on a lap top (its the only PC I have)...

My 'pit is simply made up of an old Xbox 360 controller... left stick ailerons and elevator, right stick rudder... the analog triggers are for giving me emergency full throttle (when I don't have time to use the keyboard) and the digital triggers fire the mgs and cannons...

Looking around I feel really inadequate now... :(

I wish I had a 360 controller... only got a saitek dual sticked 12 button gamepad on my laptop for IL2.

Howdy all!

Been on a leave of absence from Il-2 for quite some time now, been spending my time flying F-14s in a FC 2 squadron! Figured I'd slow it down a bit (only a bit now that there are korea mods!). Just recently recieved my pilots license and will be attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University this fall, Daytona Beach baby! Am bringing Il-2 back up to speed will all the mods I can stand. And yes I'll be good and re-read how to do it all  8) S!
