Great request.
When I saw these pics i thought good frankening would do the job
with the engine and cockpit of an il2
the wings of a bf-109Emil
and the rear of a PZL.42

It would be useful for the Alpen maps by ZippZap, where Switzerland takes large part. I wonder if it would be possible to make a scenario where Swiss planes defend their territory against both allies and Luftwaffe, lol .

Dear God! But this IS a beautiful aircraft! And new to me, ive never seen it before...  :o
(and that long nose IS ugly...  :'( shame for that to be done to so gorgeous a craft)

looks like a yak nose to me.

Yes, both planes, EKW and Me-109 (in Switzerland, we use to call the Bf a Me...) are on display at Dübendorf Swiss Air Force museum, with lots of other interesting things. Unfortunately, they are only on static display...

thats cool Gaston! maybe one day i can get there... i love travel and Switzerland is beautiful so maybe ill get a chance to go one day. I havent been to ANY air museums in a LONG time.. i need to remedy that soon.

in the mean time im going to skin me a 109 like that and maybe share it with everyone here.

In Switzerland, we have 2 air force museums. One in Dübendorf, the other in Payerne.

Payerne's museum is much closer from my home, so I know it better. A nice place to visit, but only jets and helos there. And a view on the runway of the Payerne AFB, which is just in front of the museum, at less than 100 m...
