Fantastic contribution to the sim. One of my favorite 'fringe' aircraft, superbly realised. I don't even want to think about how long that cockpit must have taken you, but it's a stunning piece of work.

By the way--I was having the same 60% CTD issue as many others here until I removed the PZL42 folders and references. The '23 works a treat. But there's something up with the '42 files. Leave them out and you're good to go  ;D

Are there any skins available? That would be nice as well. Even with a void it shouldn't be that hard to make a halfway decent basic template ... These planes are just begging for skins ...

I almost have a basic template done for the 42. Here are a few screenshots ... Soviet markings are just to get into the air, not meant to represent a real aircraft.

A fictitious Spanish Republican skin ... the PZL-42 wasn't used in this conflict, but it does have the flavor and look of an aircraft from this period ...

I tested it in a fresh, clean installation (modact 2.3) and it crashed at 60%. I did everything according to the instructions.

I never got these planes to work on my old 4.10 UP2.01 install either. I must have tried half a dozen times and did it with several variations. Never any luck.

But they are included with the default install of DBW and there they work like a charm.

Great addition, with a Do-17 these will fill a gap for the Polish campaign.

Just for fun: take PZL42 in QMB, place it at very low altitude and put some formidable fighters against your planes. If you appoint "unlimited ammo", and "no-damage" then your task could be to cover your planes with fire from rear gunner against the fighters.

I can say that PZL42 is one of the best planes for the fun-mission due to its nice rear-gunner field of view and fire (TB-3 is even better from this points but TB-3 is too large and therefore vulnerable for enemy fighters).

The only problem from this aspect  is that PZL42 defensive firepower is not enough to cover your planes from fighters like Fw-190, Il-10, etc.

So the question is: it is a simple way to modify PZL42 rear guns into something with stronger firepower? For example to change it into M3 Browning with a lot of ammo (or unlimited ammo) or even 20mm cannons from Fury-jet? This would be nice fictional version just for fun! :)

Thank you!

I've had a weird bug while using this in a 4.11m SAS beta install. The plane loads alright, no crashes... but when the mission loads the plane immediately explodes after 1-2 seconds.  Not sure what to make of it.
