FUBAR PRODUTIONS PRESENTS....

                                                    FUBAR PRODUTIONS
" The Blind Leading The Blind "
                                                           PRESENTS
                                                     The B-25 Smuggler

                                                          The Smuggler

Tree Top Flyer by Steven Stills

"I could be a rambler from the seven dials
I don't pay taxes 'cause I never file
I don't do business that don't make me smile
I love my aeroplane 'cause she's got style
I'm a treetop flyer

I will fly any cargo that you can pay to run
Bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You got to fly down into the canyons, you dont never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run
For a treetop flyer

I'm flyin' low, I'm in high demand
Go fifteen feet over the Rio Grande
I'll blow the mesquite right up of off the sand
Seldom seen, especially when I land
I'm a treetop flyer
Born Survivor

Well, people been asking me, "Where'd you learn to fly that way?"
Was over in Vietnam, chasin' NVA
The government taught me, and they taught me right,
Stay down, under the treeline, you might be alright
Treetop flyer

So I'm comin' home, I'm runnin' low and fast
I promised my woman this ones gonna be my last
I get the ship down, I tie her fast
Then some old boy walks up, and he says "Hey son" I'll make some fast cash
I'm a treetop flyer

Well there's things I am, and there's things I'm not
I am a smuggler and I could get shot
I aint going to die, I ain't goin' to get caught,
See I'm a flyin' fool, in an aeroplane, just too hot
I'm a treetop flyer
Born survivor

Usually work alone"

I saw SAS~Rikens B-25A and thought it would make a great civilian plane if it was converted so I got a skin made by misha.misha and added the windows and door from one of Max_thehitman's C-47s and then SAS~Riken and I started collaborating on how to make this plane fun for you guys. We came up with a smuggler that looks like a innocent passenger plane but can drop contraband and men from the bomb bay.
The idea came to me as a great plane for the SNARKjungle map by Farrang65

The Stubbs reminds me of a Lockheed Electra.

Based off the B-25As so before it is asked, yes, they will work in 4.09m & 4.10m

I don't know if you knew it or not, but lots of B-25s were converted into civilian executive craft after the war. Civil conversions were also used for things like air tankers and aerial photography. This link should get the skinners started:

I didnt know that. Thanks for the link Pursuivant. I just thought it looked natural. Cool site.
@Jones, Riken did most of the work. I just came up with the idea but I'm glad you like it.

Great idea Mark   :D ;) 8)

Superb work on the B-25 Riken  ;D 8) :P

Nice to see an unusual plane can be developed from a slightly twisted map The SNARKjungle map

Great for spying and covert (behind enemy lines) ops.  ;D 8)

Would be interesting if controban could be developed more so duffle bags (possibly illegal black market products

Love the people dropping idea great for the pirates who smuggle workers in to Ankoria evading the Pagodanese Army and Air Force to gain a better life.    8) :P

Also like Real Darko's idea about changing the gear some how to make it more 30ish.

Just thoughts no demands.

Again superb idea Mark.

Cheers Kirby

Bombsaway with a conventional landing gear, that civilian B-25 will look even more 30's! I will explain the idea. Keep the main landing gear, block or erase front landing gear and add a small unretractable landing gear on the tail like in the C-47. Tadaaaa! A very nice civilian airliner!

Hi mate!

Those new birds are a great step farward in the surround implementation of the sim!

Thanks very much for them!

About the quote I post here because I feel this is the correct place and also because I second this one too for 2 factors:

1) the gear in such aft wheel way is really complicated for a civilian plane when a tail wheel is a more simple and economical solution;

2) also a little wing position modification can be useful: moving farward (at the red propeller beware line) the wing we can got the correct gravity center for a tailwheeled plane and the passenger compartment 'll be unhampered from the wing spars giving also the correct internal space for the fwd windows.

I think that such modification can be quite easy and don't involve mapping trouble for the skins!

But don't take this as a critics of those wondefull planes , it's only a little suggestion!

All the best!
