Eastern Front maps by SLADE
« on: February 17, 2011, 04:38:37 PM »

repaint of the default Eastern Front maps by SLADE - Kuban, Crimea, Prokhorovka, Smolensk, Stalingrad, Gulf of Finland.

There are no load.ini text instructions for these Stock FMB repaints so do they overwrite the stock maps
and there is not a new name for the maps in the FMB?

you just drop them in MODS/MAPMODS and youre done?

yes, it irks me when someone asks for advice on a mod without even providing a link to it, so that we can at least have some idea what you're talking about..... ???

never mind, i found it, crazyflak...https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,3238.msg32397.html#msg32397

it's a case of asking questions in the 4.10 section about a 4.09 mod, then..... :P

SAS Malone -

I did not post a link to the East Front Repaints b/c I do not have permission to.

I just started a new thread posting on the East Front Repaints  b/c I got not responses
on requests for help at the thread where the original download link was posted.

I'm pretty sure you can not post links to others skins, mods etc w/o obtaining the authors
permission first.

Checkyersix :

If I drag the East Front Repaints folder in to my MAPMODS folder, then it overwrites the stock FMB map-ok
then if I remove it at a later date I will get my old stock maps back? or does it permanently change the stock maps?

I guess im asking should I back up my stock East Front FMB maps, which I have no idea how to do yet?

No problem, once you remove the Repaints from your MapMods folder, stock maps return automatically.

You are totally wrong: you can share the links to everything legal on internet with anybody.Otherwise e.g. Google cannot work at all.
What is not very friendly, is the uploading the foreign work to internet without the permission of the author . You can do it, but it is not polite not to mention the author.
Please, do not dissipate the bad restrictive policy of unnamed server here at SAS.

Everything you put in your MODS folder will overwrite the default maps, effects, cockpits, etc.
When you want to switch back to default or try another version of a particular mod you don't have to delete it. Disable the mod by putting a "-" in front of the foldername.
For instance: Prokhorovka becomes -Prokhorovka.

I use Slade's version of the Eastern Front maps for quite a while now but when looking back again at the screenshots I notice I have a version without the BumpH files.
Looks better with BumpH files.  :o

Wow that is a huge difference! Where to get these BumpH files?
Is it these?
