Yah, but my teammates are too lazy to manually install an aircraft :P.

The P-51A in-squadron numbers should be placed in tail instead fuselage as most of photos suggested.

Problems opening this file. I have tried to un-zip this flie and can't. Re-downloaded it and still can't. Does any one have any ideas? I have had this same problem with a couple of other aircraft too. How hard can it be, right? Thanks guys.

The front end of the scoop opening is not on all of the P51s/Mustangs etc... Only some of them have that, just a variation of design.

I think I read somewhere that some units wired them shut, too. As I said, not a biggie but it would be cool if possible.

Good point. The area on the rear fuselage between the tail and US star was commonly occupied by the a/c serial number on most early Mustangs (mainly A-36s). This picture gives a good example:

That's what I tried. Some one turned me onto this and it's great just not this time around.

Just wondering, will there come a version with bazookas fitted as well? I just read an article in Flypast magazine of P51A's in Burma carrying both droptanks and rockets for long range airfield attacks.

I also thought these weapons would make a good addition to this mod.  They were often  used by the 14th AF  and CACW Mustangs in china.

Hi All,

Since release of the wonderful Typhoon update by Crazyflak, I've been reading up on the history of the 2nd Tactical Air Force and their missions.  While doing so I have also learned more about the use of Mustang Mk.I in armed recon and other roles.

I am wondering whether the Mustang Mk.Ia (the 4 x 20mm variant) plus the A-36 associated with this mod is still in development?

Love the work the team did with these early Mustangs and just being curious ...

Cheers,

If you wan a quick mock up of the Cannon one, give me a little time to make a quick slot and put some cannon barrels on the wings. I did one like this earlier but lost the file due to a pc fart. If you dont see it by tonight, PM me and I'll get on it.

I have been working out in humid 114 degree F weather all week, so my brain is kinda fried from the sun....

Good lord, Riken, and I thought I had it rough here in the heart of Texas (105 degrees and the like)
I'm another who looks forward to the 4 cannon early Mustangs.  Hope it falls together for you.  ( I'm still with 4.101 SAS 3.0).  Thanks a bunch for all you've added to this old game.   8)
