Hello and happy new year
Can someone tell me if there is a way to install the repaint shokaku and zuikaku, and keep in the same time the original late war skin for both carriers ?
Any help is welcome...
le forban :) :) :)

Was wondering if anyone has pulled this off?  Would love to have the Sho and Zui in their early war paint scheme (Coral Sea, Guadalcanal) and late war

Thanks,
Jeremy

Zuikaku 44 should work on its own. don't replace anything and just make the entries like its a new ship. I haven't used it in a while so I don't remember. I'll look into it though now that I've got 1946/BAT installed again. I can also confirm whether or not it works in BAT (it should?)

does not work in my BAT 4.1.3 modded install - it does not crash the game but somehow lets nearly all other addon ships become invisible when placed in missions...

Hi, Regarding the issue to see/save Addon Ships in the Mission Editor. Here the way I solved it: Check the textures.tga files in the ship's folder.  Size down the biggest ones with Gimp or Irfanview, without compression.

...or activate "True Color Texture Mod".

re : Zuikaku 44 -

I am running BAT v4.2.1 (Hotfix 3) and can confirm what Griffon_301 said about trying to add Zuikaku44 (as it is available above) to the sim. The ship shows up beautifully in the FMB viewer but will not show up in the sim once placed on a map in a mission. Zuikaku44's presence also inhibits other ships from showing up in missions as well. True Color Texture Mod is activated already. It seems that one or more of its class files is out of date. It's a shame that someone hasn't coordinated and included this one and Western's other Akagi, Kaga carrier pack into BAT yet. They would be great additions!

!!!

What is your problem? Both carriers are already in B.A.T. contain. I made these two screenshots for you in #WAW3.

  Danke Gerhard!

But my comment was to the later darker green camouflaged Zuikaku44 model. We have enjoyed the Shokaku and Zuikaku in their early war paint schemes in BAT for quite a while now. I just think that with all of the intelligent code folks that contribute to BAT, it would be nice to have the Zuikaku44 in addition for those who want to include it into later war campaigns and missions.

I can opt give it go at giving them new Slots for versions 1944 in BAT if you want.
Give me 14 Days,

a simple question, those running the 44ers in Modact, can you trace differences on that model apart from Textures?
I can't recollect myself. I have burried these files deep in my DBW sfs files.

A dedcicated slot would be good, Tobias - I produced this version for BAT by stealing a slot from JTW.
