The Helldiver also confirmed it's reputation here in Greece.
Not only because it's not a lovely aircraft ( it's like a big ugly barel), but also because it was used in the civil war.
You had the army on one side with support from UK/US and the rebels that were mainly communists.
So the country actually came out destroyed from WW2 , then it was destroyed further from world powers and their agendas.
That's why it's very hard job getting detailed flight records about their sorties in the civil war, so far I only read some of their missions in an aviation magazine. Quite a few were destroyed even by the air force, it's not a part of history here you can be proud of.
But a shame we will never know all the things that happened. It might had a bad role in history here but it is part of it and it's sad that we will never know all the missions that were conducted with it.
