Ju 52 Cockpits and Default Skins

Tante Ju Original Cockpits by Ranwers and New Default Skins by VP

Ranwers launched this recently. Our package differs in that we chose the "no paratroopers" option (you can still have that, simply use the other "hier.him" file in the plane's 3do folder).
I also used the default Skins that VP Media included in their old Default Skin Mod. This also gives a new default skin to the floatplane version.



I also changed the POW in the cockpit to better suit me (the picture of the cockpit it actual wide view).

to instal be sure to remove all previous Ju52 mods and files from your game if you have any.

Was just flying a Ju-52 with the new cockpit on missions dropping special agents and supplys at a bridge... extremely mint work on this new cockpit for these birds.

I installed this cockpit so that the Ford Tri-motor would work. Which it now does and which is great.

But since installing the cockpit for the Ju-52, in FMB when choosing an individual Tri-motor or Ju-52, to assign either skins or to fly as player, then the pull-down menu sort of half-way disappears and becomes semi-transparent and the game no longer works, everything freezes up.

I've had this kind of freeze with some of the early Bf-109 and Spit models, also with the Cant 1007 ...

When the cockpit is de-installed, the Ju-52's no longer freeze up, but then, the Tri-motor doesn't work. And since most of the fun with Ju-52's is assigning them colorful skins, I was hoping there would be a way to fix this.

Why Ju-52/3mg5e starts jumping, and then turned over when standing still on the water? This can be a fix? :(

Hi sid198205, you can solve this bug by starting your seaplane from an 'object' invisible landstrip (object 'test 3' or 'test 4' i think ?) : it works like a carrier and you can take off without jumping like a frog !  ;)

Does anyone remember a thread over at AAA for a 3D update for the Ju52- cant remember who was doing it, but it addressed the wing engines (made them round) and the horrible undercarriage (made the wheels smaller etc). Did it ever get released? If so, it would be an excellent addition to this pack........

Yeah- that was it, KiwiBiggles- thanks for looking it out. Looks lovely and would really finish off the Ju52. Is Zorin still around does anyone know?

If you look on page 8 of that link, you can see how far he had got with it (Unfortunatley I dont know how to embed images into this forum)- he had re textured the engines/undercart as well as putting proper wheels & tyres and rounding the engine nacelles- :P

His last post on the subject was last April (2010) when he said he was "looking into getting the new elements to fit within TD specs."

Seems such a shame to let it die, and would go so well with this cockpit etc........
