A-26 Invader
« on: April 11, 2011, 05:01:01 PM »

Hallo

After I requested several times for an A-26 with no result  :( I started to try to mod one from scratch.

Since I have to learn every little step the hard way (and with the Video-Tutorials) I hope that I can finish the plane befor we all switched to COD  :P

So. if somebody has already a A-26 WIP on his harddrive please give me a sign before I will kill me with this plane and You pull out a A-26 out of the hat  ;)

After Ranvers presented us a Ju-188, B-26, P-61....... etc.     every time out of nowhere      I think this it is not impossible that despite nobody received an answer to the request for this plane
somewhere an modell already exists.

I am sure I will call sometimes for help with this plane  ;)

Mr. Holiday,

I am very pleased with this news. If I can be of any service (though my powers ARE limited as all humans, cept rawners, are) to what ever you need.

I do hope my offer comes as an assit to your works.

This plane served in Europe and in the Pacific, and later in Korea and in the French Air Force in Indochina. Very nice project, Doc !

I don't want to answer for Doc, but it was a nice placehoder based on the A-20H of the AMT. This one will be made from scratch.

thx for Your offer !

I am sure I need any help I can get !  ;)

@CWMW

This was really only a placeholder! The fake-Invader has only the weapons of an A-26. Unfortunaly it has not really the appearance of the Invader.  I desperately hoped somebody would built a better one (franken or from scratch)  ;)

Hi Doc,

Just the ticket for Central America.

A-26's served up until the late seventies possibly early eighties.

El Salvador had a couple and Nicaragua had quite a few.

I'll have to check Honduras and Guatamala.

Looking forward to this grand project  8) ;)

Hope it's a goer for 4.101  8) :P

Cheers Kirby

Doc,
Your A-26 is one of my favorite planes. It looks enough like the real article to make me a happy guy. I also would like to see this bird built from scratch but everyone must be busy with other projects. Time will tell.

This is wonderful news Doc. I have played with your other A-26 and I just get a huge kick out of your work. I have no talent at all but if I did I would do what ever it takes to help you build this historic aircraft to your satisfaction. I can understand how the modelers are busy with there own projects and our wish list but what I don’t understand is why there has always seems to be a reluctance in building this aircraft and the B-26. It’s been a up hill fight for you ever since I started asking for these planes and you were kind enough to make the first A-26. I’ll never be able to thank you enough for it. Good luck and best wishes. I hope some one comes to your aid. waddy

...preferible with a lot of polys for LOD 0 Donnapassenger.msh? and with a nice black dress 1024 x 1024 texture?, please, please...?  :P

I remember someone at AMT created 3d model for A-26, but I don't remember how finished it is. I also remember he didn't have time to finish her anytime soon and thus there is no wip thread. However, I hope someone remembers that better and you could get into contact with him.
