My 2 cents..

I regularly search google images for landscapes out of curiosity. I can confirm that there is a great diversity amongst desert topographical structures and landscape colours. I think redko once said the same for the Sahara. I prefer more red coloured desert terrains, such as those seen recently in sadder TV news over Libya. Many docus I saw lately in the Sahara regions showed reddish colours.
Beautiful photos! I'm no modder, but I'd think deserts leave a big area for interpretations in IL-2's maps.
My favourites so far are redko's first desert repaint and Agracier's/Uufflakke's Sidi Ifni.

A fun vid-Morocco..I didn't post it to derail, but between the suicidal stunts and the rock-music some very cool desert impressions lurk through. But the best desert vid in that area is the one posted in the next post-last one.



Okey, it's not a WWII vid-more like Mirage 2K..but the desert colours there rock! Typical representant of modern jet flight vids over North Arfica after my experience

What I miss in IL-2 is a variety between very arid looking regions and more lush green ones.

Sorry chaps, very busy on other projects, my IL2 computer crashed with everything inside and myself crashed a bit also, I had a serious sports injury and I've been at bed for some weeks. As soon as I can get hold again of my IL2 installation I'll publish this and will close the subject as it's not very likely I work more on it for a long.

Hi, many thanks, I'm on the mend I'm well enough now so this weekend I opened the PC and changed the boot disk, and tried to recover the data. I was completely unsuccesful so I DEEPLY APOLOGIZE but after all this teasing I've lost this project! SORRY all.

Good news is that Mr. Redko in his Tunisia was really doing an excellent job with his last tweak of his own textures and I hardly could make it better, so hopefully at least he'll deliver his new desert!!
