I don't have the new modactivator set up on my install right now.... although given time I could probably do that. Was going to wait for UP first.

In regards to online play basically normally there are no server checks. None at all. You can do whatever you want. It doesn't matter what aircraft you have or even map you can still join the server. Flightmodels etc.. none of that is checked. Files are only checked if they have a certain config set up in their conf.ini where the phrase checkruntime=2 comes in. This will check your install and boot you if you don't have an identical install to an extent pretty much. If you don't have the same map online then you will get a loading problem and the game will prompt you to quit. With aircraft if they server doesn't have that aircraft then no one will see that aircraft in the server. Even if 2 clients have that same new modded aircraft.

So it really just comes down to the guy hosting whether he has these checks on or not. There are probably ways to bypass it too but you know that's the world of modding.

I'll give it a go since I'm one of those silly "Onliners".

Cool! Grant, you are the man! Thank very much for helping out. If possible, can you email me at sas@whatwalrus.com, and Ill return mail with the patch to test.

I have since last post worked out a few methods and tricks with jsgme, and I believe I can set up a viable "online switch" option for those who want it.

But I need a tester! So, looking out for your mail Grant :)

I have the new ModAct and  use  it all the time.
First I rename the game.
ModAct is called "ONLINE".
Then when you have HL look for your EXE. look for the one you rename. Select that one  and your good to go.

well, thats ok, i suspected that.

Grant has not emailed me yet.

I am not going to sit here all night with my finger in my ass dudes. either someone steps up or I am going to assume there just is not realy any onliners here anymore, which is great for me, because then I can stop the pain of having to do 2 extra buttons files with every update, and all online players can have either UP or HSFX, period.

That is what i used to do just have hyperlobby look at the il2fb.exe in my modded SAS directory,  just cuz i join servers with that doesnt mean i could then pick Jetman to fly around with lol..they are mostly CRT sensitive

but this does not work changing the fbSAS.exe to il2fb.exe and then trying to make it work in Hyperlobby so basically as it stands you cannot join any servers with this install

Alright, Cirx sent me moddified .exe and wrapper.dll files to test and they do work. I was able to get into several DF servers and coops. The CRT=2 feature works in that if it is set, on a server, you can't get in unles you match the server.

So, in conlcusion, Cirx, those files look like they did the trick.
