I would like to see somebody do The Essex Class after they refitted for jets with an angled deck.

That would seem a natural progression for the Sim at this stage of its development, not straight to the big carrier decks.

Mind, I am happy with anything the model designers do, each addition is something we did not have before and the work that goes into some of that stuff staggers me, particularly the ship designers like Ashe, wonderful stuff.

For what it's worth ...........

THANK YOU !

took me a while, to finally wrangle up some time to finally sit down, insert those fairly simple text files where they belong, and copy a folder and give it a go, easy instructions, great work.

I'm desperately trying to get this, the CVL pack, and the Carrier Crew v5 mods working with my bone stock UP3.0 install... no luck.  Can anybody help walk me through it?  I've been reading this forum and the UP forums and the help files there aren't up to date with UP3 yet.

Have you installed ships before or are you familiar with how to install them? I had trouble with my installation at first because I needed to update my carrier crew mod to version 5.

No, I haven't.  I tried creating the MODS folder but the files I need to copy into it (according to the instructions I found) aren't present in the UP3 installation.

Feel free to IM me so we don't clutter this thread.

PlaneEater, I don't know how many times I've said this, but the MODS folder for UP3 is named #UP# and is included in the UP3 download. Unzip it from "#UP#_sample_folder".

First time I've seen that anywhere in the help threads I looked through.   Thanks!  That should get me on the right track.

No problem. The thing is, many other people have asked this same question. I'm usually the first to find their post and answer it ::)

Have fun ;)
