What model B17's flew in MTO? Apart from the G which flew in Israel. And, Which stock B17s DID NOT fly in MTO?

First B17 was the F model flown by 97th BG , no previous model was flown in that theatre afaik.

Did any stock modquitos ever have a specific desert or MTO camo?

I haven't evidence of Mosquito using different scheme in over sea area and Far East.

Find data about 23-108-255-256-600 Squadron using Fighter/Fighter bomber Mosquito from Malta and Italy with 23rd Squadron opening the dance in December 42 from Luqa (Osprey) , the couple of skins I see was in grey/green upper and black under.

What models P39 did fly in North Africa, and by which nation? (I know there is Tuskegee airmen, and france, but I dont know what models of how they looked)
But ALSO: Which of those models ALSO flew in the pacific, and for which nations?

The first models flown by USAAF in the Pacific was the P39D and the P400 by 8th FG over Port Moresby in April 1942.
Last Pacific model was the Q and was retired in 1944.

In North Africa USAAF employed from D to Q , the last P39 was flown in Italy by 322 'Tuskegee' between february and may 44.

I haven't source about French usage of P39 in North Africa but I can't exclude it!

France used P63 in Indochine between 49-50.

Did the USA ever fly Hawk81, P40B or C, in MTO?

AFAIK none!

Whats is the last model bf109 (stock) to fly in MTO (prior to invasion of italy)

Last stock 109 was the G2.

Did Vichy France fly Morane MS406 and 410 in North Africa?

Only 406 up to late 40 then none.

Was the fairy fulmar ever used in MTO? If so, only by RAF or by some other nation also?

Fulmar was extensivly used in MTO from RN , it was used to navigate Spitfire towards Malta , to top cover Swordfish at Taranto and so on!

Was retired only from 42

Was used only from RN apart a single plane captured in Senegal by Vichy and used by Group de Chasse I/4

Was the Hs129B-3Wa ever used in MTO?

No!

Only the B2!

Are there any of the stock Spitfire's that ALSO flew in the iraeli war of independance? AND, which stock Spitfires DID NOT fly in the MTO?
Did do 217 ever fly in MTO with MTO camo? (I think stupid question but I have to ask)

IAF

SpitfireMkIXe
SpitfireMkIXeCLP

not sure about

SpitfireMkIX25lbs air.SPITFIRE925LBS 1                  NOINFO  gb01  SUMMER
SpitfireMkIX25lbsCLP air.SPITFIRE925LBSCW 1                NOINFO  gb01  SUMMER

NOT fly in MTO

this one due missing trop filter

SpitfireMkVb
SpitfireMkVb12lbs
SpitfireMkVb16lbs
SpitfireMkVbCLP
SpitfireMkVbLF
SpitfireMkVbLFCLP
SpitfireMkVbM4616lbs

No HF version used in MTO

SpitfireMkIXeHF

The Do217 don't use MTO scheme , only standard Europen camo pattern with wave mirror!

Hope this can be useful!!

All the best SAS Leader!!

The Mosquito didn't serve in N.Af I think due to the wood's glue not bonding in those conditions.

Mosquito's did indeed operate from Malta over Tunisia, Sicily and Italy - but at night in the Interdiction role only with Mk VI. Maybe black undersides, maybe not but standard day scheme on top surfaces.

B-17s operated only in Standard Olive Drab - some B-24Ds were painted desert pink.

Closed? Anyway here's what I had from my hat.
UPDATED! Corrected
Tropical versions of Fw 190 that served in Africa where also:

Fw 190 A-2
Fw 190 A-3
Fw 190 A-4/Trop

Note most early Fw 190 A's (SG/ZG units) in Africa had no Tropical Filters, the first Trials for A-4/Trop (Erprobungskommando 19) took place in July 1942, sources claim the A-4/trop was built in very small number, most later A-Series in Africa with Trop Filters where indeed A-5 versions.

Fw 190 A-5/Trop (A-5/U3 and A-5/U8)

Others that had desert Schemes applied, but not served in Africa, instead i.e. Sicily-Italy:

Fw 190 G-4/Trop (I./SG 4) Trop version of G-3
Fw 190 F-2/Trop (I./SG 4) based on A-5/U3
late versions included even Fw 190 F-8
source: Osprey "Schlachtgruppen" and other Fw related publications by Osprey

The B-17E was flown by the Brereton Detachment (the 9th Bomb Squadron slightly reinforced by 4 B-24As and one LB-30) from the 7th BG, which was transferred to Lydda, Palestine from the NEI by way of India and flew their first mission in July 1942. They returned to India in October.

I disagree as the B17 wasn't find useful to make such long range bomb mission and they operationally fly only B24!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9th_Bomb_Squadron
http://www.milhist.net/usaaf/mto42.html

This source report the B17 but on the day reported (ex. 13 sept 1942 over Tobruk) the official chronology report B24 and not B17!
