Small emergency - need assistance
« on: April 29, 2011, 08:00:14 PM »

Hey Gang,

I have only one copy of Il2 1946 original disc, and in attempting my most recent re-install from this scratchy relic, I have ascertained that my machine cannot read my setup.exe.

If it is within the bounds of site rules, could someone email me the setup.exe from a copy of il21946 from disc (North American release) .

If this is not kosher, let me know.

Thanks,

Kopfdorfer

Have you tried using a mechanical CD cleaner to try to buff out some of the scratches? Sometimes that works.

I use car polish to fix scratches CD's & DVD's if that don't work the scratch is too deep.

I use plain ol toothpaste and water to clean scratched cd's. It fills in the tiny cracks with fluoride that dries clear, just like it would for teeth. Hasn't failed me yet, and I am not kind to cd's or dvd's at all.

Thank You all for quick replies; I am sure this will sort me out.

But now I must search for a used IL2 1946 disc to buy.

Nova Scotia in Canada.
I haven't seen one in a store for quite a while now. But I'll keep looking.

Thanks
