An odd thing with my JetWars, I first downloaded the superpack (UP3/DBW1.71)  to my 4.101 about a little over a month ago or so and got jet wars with this download, I think it's version 1.2  with modact 2.1.   

Now I wanted to install this update 1.32 and the patches and whatever else is needed, but when I looked in my DBW folder there is no jetwar file........ neither in the UP folder or any other place in my IL-2 root folder that I can see, yet I have pretty much all the jets and they work great from:

Do I just make a jetwars 1.32 folder and put it in the DBW folder and go from there or any suggestions?

1) Extract over DBW1.71 install. Should run without any further modification.

The way I understand it; the latest Jet Era version 1.32 will NOT work with 1946v4.12m / Modact v5.1... Is that correct?
If that is the case, will there be an update version released any time soon?

Thanks to all of you for your hard work putting these Ultrapacks and Mods together! You've made it easy for an old guy with no programming experience to install and run these mods with ease. I installed v5.1 and it worked flawlessly the first time! Much appreciated!

Not yet working in 4.12m. Currently working on converting SAS Engine Mod to 4.12m and then jetwar should run.

WeekendWarrior, Somewhere floating around is a fix or instructions to make the F-86d models work. I have them working in my own game, and I remember having to make an adjustment or do something special to fix them. They are nice! But I can't for the life of me remember what to do... or where it was posted.. 

Hopefully someone can point you in the right direction.

Edit: come to think of it... perhaps it was the addition of the jet war 1.32 hotfix that fixed my sabre Ds. It deals with bomb bay doors, and if I recall correctly, and this was part of the problem with the d models. Have you added that hotfix? Its there with all the other links on the first post if you need it. Hope this helps! Good luck with your sabres.

I am trying to get this working but I cannot it seems...

I have Il2 1946 patched to 4.11.1m
In the 1st post of this thread it states this will work with HSFX 6.1, which I have installed.
I have the latest buttons file (I installed the 4.11.1m offline version of the file)
I have installed the SAS Engine mod v2.6RC - I installed this to a folder called MODS
I installed all the Jet War files to a folder called MODS
I put all the entries in the .ini and .properties files required at the bottom of each file and those files.  I made a copy of the Files folder structure with just the com, i18n, and gui folders within the folder called MODS.

The game CTD's at 60%


Please could someone help.  Thanks.

Try removing the F-86D Saber Dog's air .ini lines, she'll likely start up like a new mustang I'm sure Currently trying to make it so those model F-86's would work for my install without those pesky 60% errors with some frankly humorous and laughable attempts, so far to no avail

OK I tried that.  Didn't work.

I've even tried it on a clean 4.11.1m install, with SAS Modact 4 and this mod just simply does not work for me - doesn't seem to matter what I do it CTD's at 60%

I've also been trying to get some other mods working, like the UH-1B Huey Gunship, but they crash on me also, although the UH-1B got as far as in-game and loading a QMB mission, but it CTD's at 30% loading aircraft.


I think I'll give up because the modding scene for IL2 1946 seems so fragmented and broken up with mods requiring dozens of other mods to work and specific editing by the user of certain files that it's very very difficult for a person who just wants to drop files in a folder and go to get mods to work.  I'll stick with my basic HSFX 6.1 plus the few mods I have got working (none of which add new planes) for now I think.

Yes I believe I did that.

I've given up on it though.  I was trying to get Jet War installed so I could use the Vietnam campaign that I found, but that also requires the UH-1B mod, and whilst I can get into the game with that as soon as I load a mission the game CTD's on 30% loading aircraft.

So it's rather pointless me getting Jet War to work if I can't get other required mods to work for the campaign I want.
