Hi guys!

I've been stuck in 4.11.1 with HSFX 6.0.17 for a while and happy to stay with it with our squad. I saw the Jetwar news only just recently and have tried to install it all. I'm getting CTD at 60%.

Here's how I got there.

I followed Anto's instructions here https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=15649.0 to a tee....I think!

As there is no MODS folder(that I can find) with HSFX I assumed the engine pack 2.6 and SAS Buttons 10.3 went in the JSGME folder to be activated manually? Or do I need to create a separate MODS folder to add them to? They seem to activate fine but without the Jet-pack working I can't test, and the sounds don't seem any different.

So....I tried a process of elimination trying the coding inserts. When I pasted in the "weapons_ru" and "air_ru" that's when I got the crashes.

So the only thing I can think is the exact place in the coding it needs to be pasted???

And yes, I'm a noob at modding, sorry :(

But if anyone could help, or even post the right coding for those two files(for 4.11.1 HSFX 6.01.17), AND/OR advice on where to put the engine 2.6 and Buttons 10.3 mods I would be eternally greatful.

 First off, first post! I had to join, there is such a wealth of information and talent represented here.

 I have this game on Steam, I am running 4.12.2, modact 5.3. I installed the buttons, engine mod all linked on the first page, I am getting a CTD at 60%. I will start over with a fresh install and report back.

 I got the f-4  to work,kind of.i am running 4.12.2,mod act 5.3,engine mod 2.7,buttons 10.5,jetwar 1.33,MiG-21 2 nd and 3rd gen.everthing installed and working . installed f-4 mod with no open canopy mod.here's my problem when I load the f-4 from the QMB everything loads fine.as soon as the mission starts the aircraft is almost uncontrollable I have to trim like hell to get it to stabilize .but I did .then I noticed none of the gauges in the cockpit where working some of them don't even have needles on them.any thoughts?



EDIT: doh,watched videos on YouTube and none of those f-4 gauges worked either.so will wait for a cockpit upgrade.my bad :-X

As popular as the f-4 is ,and now that it works in 4.12m I am surprised no one has tackled the cockpit and radar problem.

What problem?

The cockpit wasn't finished i.e. instruments not animated and as for radar, only one aircraft in game currently has it properly implemented (which is the MiG-19 prototype interceptor). Hopefully soon we can extend this to the MiG-21s and fix the MiG-17PF radar.

I think though that those are only minor issues with F-4 which needs a code and loadout cleanup first.

Ok maybe problem wasn't the right word,finished would probably be a better term.i would agree on the code cleanup.but I would think a cockpit with working instruments would be more important than a load out cleanup.at least it has load outs vs incomplete cockpit.now I realize that the f-4 was just a beta , but if the MiG-21 3rd gen can come out as a beta with a working cockpit (minus the radar,I know radar is not easy to implement in a sim) then why can't  the mig-21's biggest opponent and one of the Vietnam era's most important aircraft be given the same amount of attention.if the f-4 is still a WIP that's great but if not I think it would be a mistake.Anto will probably thrash me for some comment but I don't think its right to come out with 3 Russian aircraft (MiG-17,19,21) that work well and not give the f-4 the same attention.

I can not understand the reasons, but I did not get to add the aircraft from Jet Era 1.33 in stationary aircraft :( After adding the necessary lines to a file technics.ini aircrafts from Jet Era do not appear in the "stationary aircraft" in the FMB. With version 1.32 this problem was not there :-[ Has anyone encountered similar? Game version - 4.12.2, Activator - 5.30,  Engine Mod - 2.7, buttons - one that is part of the activator.
