BF109 online squadrons?
« on: May 08, 2011, 08:47:42 PM »

Ive been playing this sim and flying its BF109 for 10 years on and off now, but have never played online.
I'm looking for an on-line 109 unit that doesn't mind showing a newb to online playing a few pointers and some training. I'm in the US (California) so I suppose that would be a consideration as well.
Any recommendations?

I fly with II./JG53. There is an active US (East Cost) section, as well as European/UK and Australian timezone sections. We fly missions multiple times a week and have training officers who are there to assist newbies. Currently we are fly the Spanish Civil War campaign. We will probably continue this for a little longer, with Poland, Low Lands and France being shortly after. The aim was to eventually switch to ClOD, but due to it's current state, we are holding off.

EDIT: Ive actually seen your site before but was put off by the CoD motiff of the place. I really like the flight school description.

Well, I have alot of time to waste, so probably a lot. At least 3-4 times a week for a few hours.

We can definitely cater for you then :)

Don't worry about the ClOD motif, none of our members have been able to get the game to run consistently stable so we won't be switching to ClOD for a long time. We are currently running UP2.1 but will be switching to UP3 when it is out.

Well I'm the XO of the 51stfis. We are almost all East Coast U.S. with one guy from Belgium and one from Scotland. We fly almost exclusively the Jet Age, but have been known to tool around in Jugs and a few others.
