I am spending a lot of freetime to figure out a way to build myself a light pit with a flight stick WWII aera placed between my legs  :-[ wait a minute that came out wrong. Well U know what I mean. We have modded realism all the way in this game. I think its time to sit like an WWII fighterpilot aswell  :D
And I am going to use a lot of time with as few money that I can. I have decided to use the KG 13 Flightstick as a base but are not sure I am going for the real thing in throttle since the game depends on buttons. I might stick with the X52 throttle a little while longer. Maby buying me a detend twist throttle for choppers instead

LeOne,

I spent the last few years building this pit from scratch. It uses a heavily modified Saitek Aviator stick, Saitek Pro Flight Pedals, CH Pro Throttle, custom switch box (with Bodnar board), and Creative 5.1 Surround Sound system. Front canopy glass is a Vizio 26" LCD with a Track-IR 5 unit sitting on top. All components are wired into a 7-port USB hub which is mounted under the monitor base. The beauty of it all is that I only have to deal with 4 cables going to the PC (USB, power, video, and sound).

Thank you for the pictures, And yes I was tempted to modyfy my X52 stick but your stick is just fine. I am willing to let go many buttons in order to get the right WWII feeling planing to use the X52 throttle together with an Chopper detend twist throttle alongside the kg 13. Building a realistic stick from scrach means 150 euro usb card spit spade 150£ buttons about 40 euro + wireing

I wonder if anyone know about the french Tarmac Aces  http://www.valiant-studio.eu/tarmac/html/index.php and theyre products. The site and webshop is up and running, but no answeres when I mail them. I just cant decide what to do, The price of building your own stick is just about 100 euro cheaper and therefor I am looking at the KG 13 flightstick they got.

I used 2-1/4" ABS straight pipe and PVC connectors (plastic) that can be had from any home improvement store. This kept the cost down and made it easy to work with. I used a hack saw and mitre box to make my cuts but really should have bought an electric chop saw (which would have made my life much easier!).

Yes, I have been to this site a while ago and was very impressed with their products. I love the Bf-109 throttle they sell. The KG-13 stick that your are considering is really, really nice. It is designed with a slight offset on the grip so that it is comfortable (ergonomic) to fly with. My stick has a straight grip which is a little uncomfortable. I'm thinking about a way to modify it further so that the grip is turned several degrees to the left. A modder's work is never done....LOL!
