One thing that's always bugged me is the instantly stopping prop when you shut the engine down. Is there any way to simulate the prop "winding down"?

It feels a little too short the way it is since IL2 Sturmovik was released compared to real life propellors.

Exactly this. It seems like they make a revolution or two and then instantly stop.

How long is it already, and double or triple it 10 - 17 seconds maybe?

watching a P-51 shutdown it's around 10 seconds spindown.

Well.. if it's a general setting that applies to all A/C then I think it's a good way to examine some footage and find an average spindown time.

If it's A/C specific, then it's a whole different ballgame as it could be set according to engine/aircraft/prop type.

It would also depend on how much wind there is that day in the certain direction...
