LeOne,

You are going to have one very sexy setup for IL2 once you get your new stick and your new "office" chair. And you SHOULD have to answer to your wife for it!
Very limited rewards for a while, or turnabout is fair play - what is her hobby!?  :D

Very cool, luxury... only if with a mockpit :P
If you used it as part of a bucket seat in a mockpit, someone would surely fit switches and stuff to it, pull the lower ejection lever to eject ingame, and any other mountable goodies for other virtual non 'VFR' funtions etc

You're not really trying to put this in the general shared direction. Kick the kids out, if you have, they're old enough. Then overtake their property, you paid for it.
Really, it just leads to frustration, you need your free-time and your wife too, if she wants to relax. You don't have a corner that is not located in a) gym-room/bedroom, b) living-room, C) kitchen or d) bath-room? A dry cellar or sth. underneath the roof, or a shared office/working room. If not you could just easily build a non-permanent drymountedwall niche with Rigips and most importand soundproofing.
Your partnership shouldn't get affected by your hobby, if you love her. Find a solution that you can have your fun, your chamber or whatever, but without disturbing others. IT will not go without compromises or a few usual gifts (shoes, parfume, a wellness-weekend), you need to offer a bit, not just promises, since you want sth. too from her. That's the deal, I had my Flight equipment this year, Madame Knoch got extra-orbitant wishes fullfilled, new furniture, wellness weekend, clothes, all the stuff that makes man poor. Still I paid her back in my hearted manner, this she gets me covering it over and over on my bread. For a lousy X52Pro, needles to say if I would buy a scrapped MiG in Kecsemét in Hungary for our Schrebergarten. Vacation on Bora-Bora, all inclusive, Ski-adventure in St.Moritz or paddling on Lake Geneva.

But to what it leads if you just enter the archaic course,
I see it when my girl settles with her netbook and full equipment in our livingroom/relax-zone, I can understand she needs the TV going, her music running to learn Marketing management, but what when I wanna watch TV and just lay in the horizontal after a shitty day and want my quiet. We have a working room for such things.

I am renewing my desk layout. The aim is to fly the game without using my keyboard no more no less I use headphones by the way , when space is available I will buy myself a spitsim to the horrible cost of 4000£ together with a homebuildt BF-109  witch I have started on. I will use maby 3 computers to multiscreens and buying cheap panels from boneyards together with usb controllers and gyros it all will be reasonable  ::)

Long deliverytime on all items, the KG 13 stick up to 6 weeks
this multiengine throttle 4 weeks
this particular throttle is from this plane http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cessna_AT-17 I consider a more expensive throttle from a P-47 but I really want a multiengine setup
I am building a rack to connecting it to a analog throttle control card.
The chair have to wait it cost 600$ in freight so I will look for other solutions

I am not really building myself a pit more a simlayout that can fly all planes with the minimum use of keyboard and got a WWII feel to it. since a yoke is hard to fly fighters with I chose a stick. and I like chopperflying in FSX too with this

Funny thing this step by step planning of a flightsim,
1st step) What do I Need = a senseable solution low cost budget  :-\
2nd step) U find stuff in your search and = tunnell wision and absolutley abandoning all prevous budget`s  ;D
3rd step) While ordering you find more thing you need to make it work= sell your house kind of buget  >:(
4th step)What do you need= A good and reasonable way to play a game.

Throttle out too to many throttleaxes to make and those things cost 140 euro a peace, I buy myself two BF 109 throttles

from Tarmac Aces and cheap Rodger Dodger keyboard
