Yes, I you have the newer version of this aircraft Steven.
Although the rear wheel rims are diferent on the original fighter and some other details.
PA_Jeronimo has created his magic "mod wheels" and came up with a more realistic version to
fit into this model for the IL2+mods.
I am not sure if he has released his version to the public yet. If not, he will in his next pack.

does anyone have issues with the Uhu AI behavior in Modact 5.3?
i ask, because under AI control, these guys just simply refuse to attack enemy bombers.
i give commands, they say 'roger, attacking' and do nothing, just carry on flying.
this, when a formation of enemy bombers passes directly overhead within 500m...
whats up with that?
looks almost as if the AI attack routine is wrong, they behave as bombers rather than fighters...

Yeah, I was wondering about that too.
Although sometimes, they keep flying for a minute longer chasing the bombers, then all of a sudden they speed up and
take to the sky above and do a quick twisting maneuver with noses down to attack the bombers from the top, as if they were fighter airplanes.

I am not sure if this was common practice with these aircraft, them being so large in size and reading about them attacking the enemy
mostly from behind, or sometimes attacking bombers from underneath using those rear top cannons.
I also think they may be a little bit too slow sometimes.
I don't know, I am no FM expert,
but I would like to take a peek into that FM file one of these days when I have some time free from
painting skins. At the moment I can only concentrate on some other things.

Though it has TypeFighter in the mother classfile, I suggest adding implements TypeFighter, TypeBNZFighter to the sub-classfile.

There is also a defect in the internal view just at the bottom of the windshield, it is because the external canopy mesh is showing through.

The following will correct it.

In the plane's 3do folder rename Blister3_D0 to Windscreen_D0 then add the following code to the cockpit's classfile.

I have not found any skins that fit the latest version, does anyone have a link to a workable skin?

IIRC also the type schrage musik should be implemented otherwise it 'll never use the dorsal guns....

....take a look at the 110 NJ version for this....I'm not so expert but I saw some treads about this....

Unfortunately there is no skin for the 3D version 5 !
It is for this reason that Max skins are eagerly awaited!  :)

It is with great pleasure that I am finishing painting a big selection of skins for the next package. Historical skins and
a few fictional skins in blanks so you can select the country roundel in the game.

I will post the new skin downloads this coming friday, so you can have all weekend to fly this classic night-eagle.
This is a new skin-template and are ALL new skins - only created to fit this latest recent model.

This last version to my eyes is the best He-219 ever released. Although, I have enjoyed very much flying in
the models released in these past years and I have also enjoyed painting many skins for them all too.

I need to know if EPERVIER or some other mod-artist is going to make any last minute changes to this model or
those top-rear machine-guns??
I know you guys have a few more aircraft versions with diferent radars and goodies hidden away from public view, but
tell me what you are going to do - so I can paint skins to fit them properly. Otherwise, the skins are not going to look good
on the 3d-model.

ABout those rear top-machine guns (Schrage-musik)
They are working great in my game, no problems that need changes.

The only thing that might need some changes would be to remove the machine-gun barrels altogether, because in
the real machine, they were never seen coming out of the fuselage. -- There was only 2 small holes for the bullets to
come out! No guns were ever seen.

Now this version has 2 machine-guns sticking out and they are not well centered on the top fuselage.
There is no problem with that. I also like the way they look.
It is all a matter of little pixel-measurements out of place, but about 20 to 30 centimeters on the
real airplane fuselage.
No problem, do not worry!
 I have created 2 small holes (which are not centered) but "look" like they are centered. It is a small visual trick I painted,
Its magic  ;D  - so many people will not notice the machine-guns are not placed correctly... BUT if you
remove them, you will notice the holes are not well placed.

Most probably I will release all the skins for public downloads with no holes or visual effects and then let you guys decide
what you want to do with your models.
