He 219 sputnikfixThanks Epervier and everyone else involved in taking our beloved 219 to the next level!
I found a few things though which annoyed me, and since I love this aeroplane, I had to fix 'em real quick
Thus, I am sharing with you an
unofficial He 219 v5.15m for Il-2
4.12!
This is what I changed:
1. Essential fixes Proper nightlighting in the cockpit
-
added nightglow and proper nightmats to all instruments, including the artificial horizon
- on by default, can be turned off with cockpit lights button
Realistic navigation made fully functional
-
compass heading can now be set with compass heading buttons 2. Eye candy Every girl loves a different pair of shoes...
So you can now choose between three different historical radar setups on the He-219.
In chronological order:
- FuG220+FuG202 dual installation (as per v5.141m)
- FuG220c
- FuG220d (with diagonal dipoles)
How to change aerials:
Go to ...\#SAS\Sputnikfix__He-219_for412_(v5.15)m\3DO\Plane\UHU\ and delete this file: Antenna1_D0.msh
In that same folder you will find three files named:
- Antenna1_D0.SN-2b
- Antenna1_D0.SN-2c
- Antenna1_D0.SN-2d
These files correspond to the radar aerials depicted above. Select your preference, make a copy of the corresponding file in the same folder
and rename that copy to "Antenna1_D0.msh". Voila, done. Note: By default you will find a FuG220c (SN-2c) installed on this He 219.
3. Beta-updates This patch also includes the latest (as of Dec 2014) updated hitboxes by Epervier, which can be found in post #178 of this thread.
Here it is: Sputnikfix_He-219_for412_(v5.15m).7zAs I said, this is
not an official update, it is simply a quick patch which addresses my own personal immediate nightflying needs.
And, as I also said before: IT IS ONLY FOR 4.12! Maybe it works with 4.10, don't know, don't care, give it a try if you want to.
Maybe if Epervier likes these changes and finds the time to incorporate them into the whole He 219 package, this might become an official v5.15 in the future...
cheers
