So, what was the problem with Diff_FM? In fact, what's the point of putting new plane FM in the buttons file at all? Diff_FM offers a modular solution to the FM problem, with no need for updates of the same file. If it were me, I'd just give each new plane its own Diff_FM file and not bother with the buttons at all. I hope the full release of UP 3.0 will be Diff_FM compatible. Otherwise, I have a stable of half-finished planes that will be grounded...

... well, there is the online cheating issue....

but so far no issue over diffFM was raised and all this came a ittle as a urprse now. i did not expect "tuning" my offline game would be so hard in UP3. all conflict and workaround.

what is in UP3 is superb (yet some bugs, as for example the Texan loadout issue - it is already adressed at UP) vbut what is jkept out (dffFM, PAL...) is quite hard to understand and Mikes statement didn't make me feel good. It sounds as if something is going on behind the scenes. I can hardly immagine though since SAS and CirX are close to the UP team....

Mates, please don't start paranoid control discussions.
SAS and UP are kinda Dollhouse of IL-2, don't tell people they'd have to become catholic to get in.
I can't tell you precisely what the original intentions were the lead to the conclusion not to include DiffFM with UP3 RC, but to me it seemed to be a wise decision for one single fact already which I personally appreciate the most in terms of not having had DiffFM in yet:

Less cluttered support.

Like it or don't, but there are stupid claims and request coming around frequently, and it's already hard enough to keep up with the threads and separate the real issues from the nasty bogus claims.
Adding the ability to put WIP projects in doesn't make life easier for those who want to help others in case of trouble for sure. Please keep in mind that this is a Release Candidate and nobody ever said there won't be a DiffFM for it later.
Anyway, now there is one available (see: It's not that tricky so it was quite likely someone would take the task) and we (the supporting bitches) have to deal with it.

I just cross my fingers that there won't be several dozens of "requests" with completely fubar'd installations behind, with the user claiming "of course" to have just a plain vanilla UP3 RC installation.
That's what makes life hard gents, when you try to help out someone and after two weeks on a sidenote you get to know that the answer to the very first question was wrong already and all the work and efforts you put in went to the trashbin.

It looks like many people are deep in testing new features of UP3. Also I admit that UP3 creators are extremely tired of preparing UP3 release, then of answering on numerous posts regarding UP3. Maybe it is time not to come up to fast conclusions/decisions, but to relax and think a little and then to return with refreshed minds/ideas...

Beo, please don't try to instigate people.
I didn't say that all users are "stupid" or whatever else, and for sure I didn't talk about the modders who are trying hard to improve our gaming experience.
But, and again like it or don't, as a matter of fact there are those users being around who simply have to try everything they can get hands on, no matter how much warnings applied, and who are causing a whole lot of background noise making life hard for those who just want to help getting stuff to work as expected.

And now that I'm here to help and not to argue, feel free to go on calling me names, it doesn't matter to me and I'm quite confident other can distinguish too.

I can not surely say whether or not UP3 will officially have DiffFM included but for the reason of online compatibility I'd imagine they may choose not to have it (vaguely remember seeing some discussion that it breaks CRT=2). Anyway, in the future there could be a version of SAS ModAct that uses UP3 as the base and disabled ZutiMod and the online features. So if this does happen, there will definitely be a DiffFM mod included to allow modders to beta test mods and for offline users to customize their install however they want.
