Use the screenshot Mod created by QTIM and use the print-screen button to get a high resolution JPEG of your in-game screen. https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,38.0.html
You can then edit them to your liking in Photoshop or Gimp.

Awesome Idea.

A few pointers:

Have the competition in the Screenshots board
Limit entries to one screen per member
Provide parameters for the size and dimentions of the picture, or you will be overwhelmed with 4MB posters.
Have a set deadline for entries
Pick a theme per competition, and have regular competitions.

In Modact 3 there is an option to take screenshots in either jpg, or tga. TGA is much higher quality. Members can extrapolate these mods to their UP3 or HSFX installs also. DBW which will be out later will have it already.

Let me know if youre interested in being the game-master for such competitions, and we'll give you a hand.

cheers

I vote yes but for UNEDITED screenshots, otherwise it is not really a screenshot contest anymore, but aviation art of which barely anything is from IL2.

Indeed, but we should allow cropping imo :)

Here is a shot of the target for a online mission Im working on at the moment. Kure naval base,1945

Id say one should allow cropping and basic colour and editing as is available in picasa.
