Yes that's a COD skin and no he hasn't done anything wrong.
1C has stated that paintschemes are User Customizable content so to speak, however STEAM, as a program recognizes skins as cheating because they are new files. 1C is working to resolve this.

So it's OK to take the skin from ClOD & use in IL2-1946 becuase it's not protected content?

Wouldn't work unless the Mapping of the 3d model is the same

It won't work in IL-2 1946 because the way it is going to be mapped is different between COD and IL-2.
I am not really sure what you want here. That skin is for COD, it is the authors property ('Shado') and no it won't work in IL-2 1946.
And it's not protected content, otherwise 1C would have encrypted the default skins and hidden them away in the SFS archives, they didn't provide a Void to skinners and as a result they use the skins in there and make templates.

I don't 'want' anything. Certainly, not this skin. I was only interested to see if what was done via the AAS post was kosha or not. Thankyou for your informed comment & information :)
