I dont fully follow what the problem is? is it that there are barrels sticking out of the wings?
Or is it that you do not know where to find this plane in the game, or what it is called? or the picture is wrong? but in QMB the picture is wrong, but the loadout is...wait, the picture is right, but the loadout is wrong..I think?
Or is it that you are confused about the consolidation of 109 slots weve been doing for a year now...this plane having been in our 109 pack since then, in this form, and that since the beginning of the 109 pack, weve been telling guys, that the 3d preview does not show loadoutchanges, they only show up in mission..
Either the picture and name is wrong or the load out is wrong , take your pick.
This simple oversight could easily be fixed by a "Galland F-2 Mod"
that would add and then restrict the weapon load option to 2 X 13mm's & 2 x 20mm's.
If I knew how I would do it myself.
Sorry mate, that you are upset.
So, in UP3, as there is in the 109 pack, there is in fact already a Galland F2U mod. It is, in fact, the one in your picture.
So, no oversight.
The loadouts of guns are all correct. There were at least two F2 customs jobs that I have photos of myself. One had 2 MgFF in the wings, and two Mg17s in the nose. The other had 2 mg131s in the nose, and a 20mm in the spinner. Galland used these planes to demostrate the underarmed-ness of the F2, and help Messr to develop new installations, leading to the 20mm in the F4 , Mg131s on top later, ect.
I am still not 100% sure what you are saying in your post, but I sortof think I get the gist. But what I get is not a case of bad modding, or an oversight, or frivilous compiling or consilidation of slots or loadouts, or deliberate witholding of infomation about the loadoutsreen bug or the existence of this slot or incorrect naming of it, or any malicious or childish attempt to irritate you an drive you nuts.
So, in closing, let me at least attempt to answer: the picture is in fact wrong, because with the code we use, the cannons will only dissapear once in the game. This is a known thing for more than a year now, information about this issue is in many places, and we have been tellling people about it over and over again (same issue as the trop filters that will only appear once you are starting the mission on a desert map) The loadout, and the other gun loadout, is absolutely correct. The name is also correct, since Galland flew it, and it was an F-2.
a little passage lifted from a friend's site (not proof of course, just an indication):
Bf 109F JG26 (-+- Adolf Galland Audembert France Dec 5 1941 03-06
Photo’s 03-06: These photographs were taken during and immediately after the change-of command ceremony at Audembert on 5 December 1941 when Oberst Adolf Galland, ordered to succeed Werner Molders as General der Jagdflieger, handed over command of JG26 to Major Gerhard Schopfel. Showing a keen interest in the aircraft is Reichsmarschall Goring who, although not expected at the ceremony, arrived in order to pay tribute to Galland's leadership and to the successes of the Geschwader. The aircraft are two of the three Bf 109Fs which Galland had modified because he thought the F-version was under-armed. All three of the modified machines retained their standard engine mounted MG 151/20 cannon but two had been fitted with two 12.7mm MG 131s in the cowling, while the third retained the standard MG 17 armament but also had an MG FF cannon in each wing. The aircraft on this page has the two MG FF cannon in the wings, just visible in the photograph and a smooth engine cowing. Note the Mickey Mouse emblem on this machine faces aft.
So I think our loadoutchoices are actualy quite conservative.
Lastly, I dont know you have a problem about the fact that the wing MGFF's was INTERNALLY mounted. You write it in capitals, and you circle 3 view of them, as if one would not be enough
This I do not understand? Do you understand the term "Internal" to mean that the whole gun and barrel must be INSIDE the wing? And not as the opposite of "external" (attached in gondola below the wing)?
Help me, to help you.
