Greif,

Nice instrument collection. If you possess any with cracked or missing glass be careful with handling them as they could possibly pose a health hazard if their dial faces are painted with radium paint.

Just make sure that nobody swallows such paint (and keep your cat away from licking it).

This whole issue of health hazard is a bit of a paranoia. The real problem was with the US girls painting gauge faces in 1930s. Now it's mainly the issue of proper disposal.

Radium decay produces alpha particles (effectively high speed ionised Helium atoms), very easy to shield.
If one looks at the areas painted with strong magnifying glass or hand microscope, the trajectories of alpha particles can be seen while they activate fluorescent material along their paths.

For anyone interested.

Kumpel? Sorry to report a bug/conflict with your AA_AdvControl_PS in DBW. After 3 days of constant CTDs ingame  I went on bug hunting checking which folder causes very annoying CTDs. First thought it's a sort of Memory error till I checked folders one by one.
Activating this in #DBW gets me frequent ingame CTDs on almost any of aircrafts when hitting Flaps or arrest tailwheel.
The aircraft folders itself are working flawless. Hope this helps

Thanks for your feedback. It looks as though the UP3 (and cosequently the DBW) uses another level of modification to the Aircraft.HotKeys.class. I have to investigate this closer.
In my mod, AA_AdvControl_PS (with an associated hud_log_ru.properties) is only needed for realistic flap operation - 20/40/70 deg instead of std combat(10)/takeoff(20)/landing(60). It is optional.

Superb Kumpel, thank you very much. 8)

I have also experienced the CTD with the flap setting folder active.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Fullquote snipped by Admin

[DJP]  I've been reading up on the 'China Incident' lately. The Japanese airforce had a Storch clone. There is a pic in Wikipedia. It looks very like a Criquet it think. Perhaps someone who is interested could do a skin for it? If you want,I'll find the link, and post it.

cheers

Hi David,

I would be nice if you could find some useful info.
As far as I know, it was a Japanese navy aircraft inspired by Storch, but of their own design. It was discussed here:

[DJP]That's precisely the plane I was thinking about. It looks similar to the Criquet.
