BravoFxTrt,
                       have you checked them with Il-2? Doesn't this driver produce the spureous polys and missing water in maps?

  Please if any have the chance of checking 11.9 without independent atioglxx.dll for Il-2 it would be much appreciated the report of its performance.

I already tryed 11.9 without any modifications and the results were very bad
A lot of flickering on the screen
I did not tryed to change the atiogll from a previous drivers version, I used the one that came with the  11.9 driver

I think 11.5 was and will be the last driver compatible with IL-2.
We are orfhans from ATI team, unfortunately they don't care about the simulation community.

No valid excuse.
The game uses OpenGL in no special way.
There's no good reason why any graphics driver should have issues with any OpenGL game at all.

Compare this to the situation of Nvidia users: Some 400 series users are at a loss since there's a hardware issue on a set of those cards which keeps them from performing well on OpenGL at all.
Besides that hardware related issue, there's never been any issue with any OpenGL game for aeons and it's pretty unlikely there will be any in the near future.

They simply don't care at ATI unless some very big company kicks their a**es.
They drive a support site where since about one year users complain endless bluescreen loops after installing latest drivers, which leaves them with nothing but to reinstall their whole OS. ATI simply doesn't care. They sell reasonable (maybe even good) hardware, but they drop by some banana software which has to age at customer side.
The only thing kicking them up from time to time is some top selling game which is f*cked up by latest drivers again. All others don't count a penny.
That has very much to do with communities.
