@HundertzehnGustav
So, why the same game is not so old for nVidia drivers? Of course the nVidia has best programmers. :)
Community means customers.
So, if a company can not meet the need of customers, this company needs to change their concepts to avoid losing customers.
And this is already happening, maybe I'll be the next. ;)

People,
              to all interested. Because of strange problems I had with other applications (Sony Vegas, a video editing program, etc.), I finally installed the latest v11.9 ATI drivers.

  I kept the 11.5 atioglxx.dll as explained in the first page of this thread, and the combination seems to work flawlessly for evertyhing (at least to me). New applications are working OK and Il-2 with its driver too, no artifacts, no invisible zones, etc.

I've updated to 11.9 with no problems in IL2 using the 11.9 version of atioglxx.dll

Installed the new driver ( New Rage Performance driver) and had the same as with all the drivers beyond 11.5.
Downloade the atiogllx from 11.5 kindly offered by santo br and installe as told in the first page of this thread.
Untill now everything runs fine
I expect to have a gain in performance with the new driver in other aplications, and maintain or, who knows, have and increase in performance in IL2.
Best regards

Maybe hardware may have a contributing factor . Not sure though . I run a ATI Radeon HD 6970 2gig video card . All drivers v11.5 to the release of the final v11.9 caused problems . I had to update and when i tried the new driver with IL2 there was no problem .  :-\

Do you use it in full HS resolution as your monitor (1920x1080)? How much does it cost the MSI Twin Frozz 6950
? About us$300?

Hello Pablo

That's nice to be able to "quote" you, a person I'd like to thanks so much for all the beautifull work done and offered to this community.
How  I wish I had your brain !.

Now back to our sheeps ... Yes indeed I run my game at max resolution (1920 x 1080 at 60Hz or 120 Hz ) so as my desktop.
I had a little difficulty to find my card.There were no one to find in  Belgium and France at the time I was looking for one ( August 2011).
I finally found one on the website of  "Computer Cash & Carry-GmbH".( http://www.computer-cash-carry.de).The site said they had stock. Finally I had to wait for more than a month to get it via UPS.
Actually they didn't have it in shop and had to order it by their german wholesaler. These things happens more and more often.
I paid 267.61 euros (224.88 euros plus 19% 42.73 euros VAT ) invoice included.
My card is running as is without any OC , so as my CPU.(I am to dumb to begin playing with all that stuff.Actually what's the difference visually between 60 fps and 90 fps ... just nada ! )
I Intend to flash my 6950 into a 6970 one of these days .

I hope this can help you , and if so , I am so pleased !

Madcop :)

New discoveries People!!!!!!!!

  64 bit OS users can use any of the last drivers of ATI with Il-2.

  As usual, solution is not a logical one.

  Copy your C:\Windows\System32\atio6axx.dll (or whatever location you have your Windows System32 drivers) to the Il-2 main folder.

  Then in your conf.ini set the next about renderers:

Code: [Select]
[GLPROVIDER]
GL=Opengl32.dll

[GLPROVIDERS]
Open GL=atio6axx.dll  //64 bit ATI OpenGL driver, originally use: Opengl32.dll
DirectX=dx8wrap.dll

So you will have the 64 bit version of the ATI OpenGL renderer, which works flawlessly for me with the Win7 (64 bit) OpenGL32.dll.

No strange polys, no missing water, no artifacts, and I think (this is subjective) that a slight improvement in fps.
