Yeah take as long as you need, i've got  to practice online after someone tells me what mod pack i need as i have never played vs actual people with jets in il-2, only in rise of flight have i played against people!

Does it? My mig-19's combat phantoms with ease, 8 vs 8 and the MiG-19's actualyy won as they came up behind the phantoms supe fast blew them up with one missle or a few burst, phantoms fell down in peices one by onw, even mine

Not sure what the mod pack might be.

I think someone will have to tell me as i don't know what server it will be, and whether we both need the same mod pack to fly together, as i use  sas modact for 4.101, so it might not be compatible with what you are using.

I'm on modact 4.0. This might be the problem. I'll try when jetwar 1.3 is out.

my Mig-19 ai are also quite deadly in a dogfight... seems quite odd that they wont even engage you at all...

I did several Dogfights with Phantoms against MiG-19s. The MiG-19s where very dangerous. I wouldn't expect them to be that aggressive...

Also will this be a phantom vs MiG-21 fight? or the mirage III vs MiG-21? As if it is phantom vs MiG-21 it should be gun only, after all the phantom can just spam that missile button, while the MiG-21 will only have 2 to 6 missles depending on version. (Also if it i gun only i should be integrated guns only, so i get my MiG-21Bis and andytothed his late F4 Phantoms.)

For me they where really dangerous, the phantoms could only get them at long range, which was rare as the MiG-19's came straight in to try and get in rolling scissors and turn fights with the phantoms, while another came in from behind and blasted his ass!

In 1982, during Lebanon War, the R-60 close range IR missile was first tested in combat. It was very effective and it even scored hits right into a nozzle of enemy fighters. Also bis and MF can carry R-3R missile. So a MiG-21bis armed with 2x R-3R radar guided missile plus 4xR-60M will be e very dangerous opponent. Even with only 6xR-60M you`ll get alot of problems in your F-4 cockpit.



BUT! You guys are forgetting the main difference between MiG-21 and F-4, a general one. in F-4 you have 4xEyeballs and 2xHead along with main difference, 2xBrains. And its impossible now in IL-2.
