I agree with your observation, but all references I have this skin, photos and profiles, bring the letters only in black. So I tried to follow the references as I could.

I think is unnecessary words. I just change the skin for it to be as close to original as possible. The letter "F" was painted green. Thank you for your comment and I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

no wonder he got away with 5 dead lancasters, this is by far the most confusing skin to look at in the dark.
I actually thought one of the engine  was the fuselage

Yes! With great desire I will go on a nachtjagd with one of my favorite planes with this awesome skin of Major Werner Streib He-219 I./NJG1 and hunt 5 Lancasters!  ;D
