It's not impossible to fly,it's only much harder to land accurately than the heli's....

I assume the thrust vector would be controlled with prop pitch right?

Hmmm, how did you stole my idea?! Man! You're reading my mind through internet network! You're Da Man! :P

Seriusly, was going to post this idea as well. It would be freaking awesome. And without it, STOL would be diffficult (remember that Harrier is actually STOVL plane, it can vertically take off only when it's empty)

BTW, that helicopter-style stability system is unnecesarry I think. IIRC Harrier doesn't have such stability system, and it doesn't go back horizontally unless you pull stic in another direction

well without the stability system basically ur in a stall at 0 kmh and well it's unflyable... and u know how some people struggle in helicopters already as they are XD
