Topic: I have an urgent question about .bumpH.tga files (Read 1420 times)

Hi mapmakers

While going throu7gh the map expansion pack I got from boomer fro UP and DBW, I noticed that some files are .bumpH files, as found in stock game. But then there are others that are .bumpH.tga . Why is this? Is it a mistake or is it OK? should the TGA extention be removed?

Please urgently answer if you can

BumpH files are used to add an interference layer to a texture. It's a good way to make things look more "grainy" and populated. I use them on the NK 1:1 map for cities and some fields.

So, short answer, keep them.

no, i dont worry about keeping them, I am worried aboout the file extention.

I know a xxxx.bumpH file is OK, as I see thei appear in the stock game also. But I have found several files that are called xxxx.bumpH.tga . I am worried about the extra .tga part.

So I basically want to know if there is some mysterious reason for the extra .tga in the file name, and if it is OK if I go ahead and chop that .tga bit off the file name.
